Corazon pushes through the door, trailed by the smells of dust, burning rubber and - faintly - death. She heads for the bathroom, reconsiders, and heads for the Bar instead so she can leave her gear there. Then she heads for the bathroom.

Some time later, a much cleaner Corazon emerges and retuns to the Bar. "I need a book about Romans," she says in deadly earnest.

She gets a napkin instead. There are a lot of books about Romans. You'll need to be more specific.

"Shit," Corazon says, scratching her head. "Ummm...stuff about their military, how it's organized, tactics, stuff like that. And it needs to start with the basics." What Corazon learned about Romans in Bible study back home just ain't gonna cut it.

The Bar provides her with a large hardcover book, complete with detailed, labeled illustrations.

"Yeah," Corazon says, I think that'll do it. Can I also have a...nah, on second thought, I don't think I can eat anything just now. Thanks." Corazon cracks open the tome and starts reading the introduction.

There's a pregnant lady lying on the couch, eating trail mix and looking glum.

It's just one of those days, apparently.

Kate hasn't been feeling like herself.

Her wound seems to be healing just fine, but she's been having hot and cold flashes, and headaches, and strange dreams. She dreams about cities -- New Orleans she somehow recognizes, even though the city looks nothing like the way she remembers it -- and people she doesn't know. They call her by two unfamiliar names, but any similarities stop there. One moment she feels uncomfortable in her own skin, the next she feels outrageously at ease. One moment she feels no greater pull than to sit and fuss over a small collection of stuffed animals, the next she itches to find a stage and a microphone and sing. When she's lucid enough she's left with veritable whiplash.

She wanders downstairs wrapped in a horrendous sweater-coat that looks like it could have been made out of your grandmother's bedspread, squinting hard and leaning on tables to make her way safely to the Bar. A pair of over-sized glasses are waiting for her once she sits down.

"Oh! I thought I lost these," she beams, putting them on. "Thank you!"

She can't resist the urge to spin on the bar stool -- but only the once -- and, already on the subject of things she's lost, touches her nose to discover the little diamond stud she thinks she recalls having is not there. Hmm.

Someone might need to stop her or encourage her before she tries to play with the wait rats. Or gets a tattoo.

[note: Thanks to a lot of enabling, Kate currently thinks she's both Valerie Veran from Little Nicky and Scarlett from The Badge. This will either be hilarious, or confusing (or both). She'll hopefully get another EP soon, but this one is open all weekend!]

[OOM: Boy meets girl...]

And lo, there is a Felix. He looks rather happy this evening.

Also, somewhat distracted. Not enough to be bumping into people or rats or furniture, but he definitely looks like he's not all here.

Perhaps this fact should be taken advantage of. Or perhaps explained.

There is a bard sitting at  a table with a mug of ale looking rather tired. His staff was leaned agains the table, and on top of the table sat his gold inlayed harp. Under the harp lay his blue cloak floded neatly the broach tucked into a fold.

The celt took a pull on his mug and stared off into space, lost in his thoughts.

He is botherable until it scrolls off the page.

Jane enters Milliways wearing a bonnet and jacket since she had stopped at an inn on the way to London with her brother and the Comtesse. When she asks Bar what's going on she is greeted by a little cake and a book along with a napkin.

With a sigh, she takes off her gloves, jacket and bonnet before carefully writing the specials and pouring herself some tea.

Then she sits and begins to look over the book.

Enzo should really be studying. In fact, the presence of a couple of file windows suggests that his original intention was to do just that.

What he is in fact doing is idly directing a winged toy car through the air around his head.

Bother him, make him get back to work, or tell him to keep his car out of your airspace and/or drink.

With ignoring the mun's IRL being a factor with how long its been since this character has made his presence known-

The only factor Wellard really considers when choosing a table to sit at, is how many books, plans and papers he needs to go over- thus, how big of a table to help hold them all. Tonight, there are two satellite-photo atlases, a sheaf of navigational charts, and a historical atlas of political boundaries and territories. Plus a cup of tea, and plenty of paper for notes.

Thus, the young british sailor, sometimes pirate, soon to be explorer, is at one of the larger tables, where there is plenty of room for all of the above.

But he can always clear away a bit of space as needed, should anyone else care to sit down and join him.

There was a huge serious reason that King never let himself be tied down in any sort of relationship and the woman he had just met was why. Words couldn't describe how she irked him! Okay so she wasn't quite on the same level as Danica was, but that was beside the point and one he'd be willing to argue! After they had parted ways Hannibal had set himself back to trying to sort through the paperwork that Lam had helped him drop on the floor. Smart people didn't just stand in doorways. It was like pushing on a door that read pull. Hannibal was just thankful that he wasn't under her care as far as the doctoring thing went.

Do no harm his rear! How many times had she ended up hitting him with something? Light help him the woman was mean. Yet he couldn't stop himself from thinking about her.

Grumbling under his breath the Hunter tried to get back to sorting through all the documentation that he'd managed to sneak away from Sommerfield's desk for Arcade. Just from the fact that she was going to see corners bent on the paper that she hadn't done herself was going to get his rear handed to him. If she ever found out that was- but, knowing his luck, all the blame was going to be placed on his head anyway. "Bar, sweetie, are you sure there's no way you can help me not get in trouble when I go back to the hideout?" His only response was a piece of paper with a ':P' face on it.

Yep. King was doomed and he blamed it all on Doctor Carolyn Lam.
