It's 6am, do you know where your baker is?
Once again, Rae has had trouble sleeping. Nightmares of blood and darkness and hopelessness came again as they always do. She knows they won't let her get back to sleep, once she's escaped the nightmares by waking up, so there's no reason for her to stay in bed.
But so what if unspeakable horrors infringe on her ability to be rested, right? That just means she gets an early start on the morning's baking, and that means more delicious baked goods for you later. That's all that matters.
Right?
By sunrise, the warm scent of the cinnamon rolls in the ovens is starting to seep out from the kitchen and into the bar room. But as the sun peeks over the horizon, Sunshine is on the far side of the lake, running along the shore, losing herself in the sound of her feet and the rush of her breathing. Trying to get back to that elusive point where there is no her, no self that can be haunted by both the past and the possible future, just a point where sensations meet, action and reaction. A swift tempo of feet on the lakeshore in the quiet of the early morning.
(ooc: One can either catch Sunshine outside or when she gets back to the kitchen to take the cinnamon rolls out of the ovens. This post is open all day. The mun needs the distraction. <3)
