Lily Evans.

Glass of butterbeer.

Bright blue brochure entitled, "The Three D's Of Apparition: Getting There In One Piece."

When you fight for so long, in such odd situations, including the normal world around you, alongside childhood friends... sometimes there are days where everything - honestly, everything is a horrible trigger. You'll do anything to escape your mind.

Anything.

Rachel touches the bar to ask for coffee, and the mug does appear. And right after it, an origami book - not the one Ako gave her, but another with new patterns, new papers.

And beside it, a book about a little girl who'd made a few cranes. Or a few hundred.

The story itself isn't exactly pleasant. But it gives her an occupation, and a goal to work toward.

About an hour into it, she moves to a table.

About thirty minutes after that, Bar gives her a sign.

Rachel can be found in a booth with a growing pile of paper cranes at the edge of the table edging around a little sign.

[OOM: 10 March 1977, just before the door opens.]

Remus Lupin steps into the bar, with an air of caution that would be totally absent were he in the company of one of his best friends.

He looks around, left and right and up and down.

And then he smiles.

"James' pub, then, is it?"

[OOC: New mun, rebooted pup. Please see important info about Remus' lycanthropy here. Thanks!]

Lily is looking a little windswept this evening -- she's spent most of the cold and incredibly blustery day at the longest Quidditch match of her Hogwarts career, until the Ravenclaw seeker finally caught the Snitch and defeated Hufflepuff, 770 to 640.

(She is privately glad that James spent this match watching from next to her in the stands, rather that chasing after the Quaffle for more than six hours. Not that she told him that, of course.)

She left James in the Common Room, rehashing the match (again) with Cliona and some of the other Gyrffindor players. They'll face the also undefeated Ravenclaw for the Cup later this year. (And Slytherin and Hufflepuff will play for the right to say that at least they didn't lose every match.) The strategizing for that match has, therefore, already begun in Gryffindor, and will no doubt start in Ravenclaw just as soon as they're done celebrating this one.

Lily picks a comfortable looking chair, orders a hot butterbeer, and wonders if it's actually worth coming up with a spell that will restore feeling to her cold, cold toes.

Harry comes down for dinner, and is given a small box instead. He opens it, and reads the card.

And then goes back to his room.

[Millitimed to last night, just after this.]

Before she and James go back to Hogwarts, Lily leaves packages with Bar for Harry and Albus Potter.

Both are wrapped in (Gryffindor) red-and-gold Christmas paper and tied with elaborate gold bows.

Lily comes into the bar this evening with a large paper bag, with a roll of red and gold wrapping paper sticking out of the top of it.

One of the advantages to having a portal to a multidimesional bar in the bottom of your school trunk is that it gives you a place to wrap your roommates' Christmas presents without having to worry too much about getting caught.

She sets out her paper, ribbons, scissors, and Sellotape on a table.

The spool of gold ribbon promptly rolls off the table and across the floor, but that's what Accio is for, right?

Lily summons her spool of ribbon back, and sets to work.

James is cheerfully sitting at a table with a tall glass of Coca Cola (and ice), and what looks to be an actual school textbook in front of him.

(Guide to Advanced Transfiguration, if we want to be specific.)

One might assume he came into the bar to do some of his homework, because he's such a brilliant student and all, but that's not really the case.

First of all, the book is closed. Secondly, it's sort of being used as a coaster.

The door just happened to catch him on his way to the library (where he'd spend the next hour or so pretending to work on something with his best mates), and ever the opportunist, James decided to take a small, short detour.

That's the brilliant thing about time stopping in bars at the end of the universe.

He doesn't even have to feel guilty about it.

[ ooc: So sorry, guys! Sadly, I've really got to get to bed now. Slowtimes for all! ]

Lily has a bowl of chocolate ice cream on the table in front of her.

She meant to eat it, when she ordered it, but instead is pushing it around with her spoon, and watching it slowly melt.

It's probably a waste of perfectly good ice cream.
