Adrian Shephard is not a man known for his subtlety or his patience in anything that does not involve waiting for a target to wander through his sights. Which is why he's standing in the middle of the Bar, hands cupped around his mouth, as he calls out, "Hey! Anybody here know anything 'bout all that shit down in the garage? I wanna see a man about a helicopter!"

That being said, he plops down in his seat and gets to work going over an extremely detailed topographical map of western Mongolia. He's got a busy week ahead of him.

Ace is sitting cross-legged outside, leaned against the trunk of a hoary old oak.

The one that wasn't there earlier this morning.

That has cables trailing out of it.

Cables connected to the platter-sized circuit board Ace has on her lap, which she's fiddling with, various (and variously levels of incomprehensible) tools scattered around her.

"... an' s'all your own fault, y'know. Y'didn't have t'go 'round that black hole. There was a perfectly fine path through the... oh stop poutin'." Ace grumbles as the circuit board sparks.

While the assassin at the table commanding a good view of the bar proper, with a stack of papers in tow, has become a familiar sight, today's a little different. It's a very small stack, for one thing; for another, she looks less cranky than she does when she's grading.
Some contracts have come up, and at the moment, she's weighing her options.

[OOM...Some kids, by the time they reach age 10, no longer believe in things like Santa, the Easter Bunny, or other such supernatural things.

Tyler's not one of those kids, and a decent letter-writer to boot.]

It's a pretty nice evening to just stick inside, it's nippy outside, warm inside. After dropping off a letter with Bar, he picks out a spot by the fireplace and carries over his dinner tray, with a book on origami tucked under one arm. Soon enough, he's settled to eating chicken tenders and folding little origami shapes.

There's more interesting ways of giving people christmas cards after all!

He's also online as practicalPowered and open to talking through there.

COFFEE
any way you like it

Coffee's percolating, vodka is chilling, and Ianto is writing in his diary while he waits for patrons.

Happy hour is a go.

Do you have any idea how frustrating it is to not be able to have caffeinated coffee, not be able to phase, and to have your center of balance thrown to hell, all at once, throwing in the fact that for some reason you're getting morning sickness in the last month or so of pregnancy instead of the first?

Take a look at Kate's face.

It'll give you an idea.

Despite that fact, she really is very friendly, and she's rather desperate to interact with people not on the lil' island called Utopia that the mutants have relocated to.

(She misses New York. It should be cold, and it's most definitely not.)

All in all, it culminates in her swearing rather creatively at the computer she's working at.

(Hey, better it than something that has intelligence, and this one, we promise, doesn't even have the artificial kind.)
