Today has not been a very good day, but eight has never been one of Sun's lucky numbers. Maybe tomorrow will be better.
She does not know if she likes these caves. They are dark and she misses the stars overhead and the sound of the waves lapping against the shore. But Jin is her husband and for now, she does as he asks. For now, she owes him that much. Nightgown in hand, she steps through the rock opening and does a double-take, and then another: where is this place?
With the nightgown clutched protectively to her chest she steps forward, brows furrowed, eyes darting back and forth. There is no comfort in the location or in the sudden profusion of company.
"Jin-Soo? [Help me.]"
But Jin is not here, and he cannot help her. Her hand goes to the top button of her sweater; she makes sure it's fastened.
"[Excuse me... where are we? What is this place?]"

"I miss my dog."
She doubts that Sallie can help her with that.

"If you're an animal lover in general, there's stableyards outside. I don't know if you ride."

So many missed opportunities, but what would a city lady do with a horse anyway? They cannot be kept nearby.
"Are there many who are... bound? Like me, who cannot leave?"

"I have never been Bound myself. I am sorry I can't help."

Sallie has been very kind, to take the time to help her. "One more question, Sallie. And then I will not bother you more: where do people who are Bound stay?"
Surely they cannot live in this bar itself. She would rather be back at the caves.

"You get a key from Bar and head on upstairs. I'm not sure how many rooms they got goin', but they never do seem to run out of stuff around here."

The dumplings have revived her in a way should could not have anticipated: it's amazing how the simple things -- the small things -- are so necessary. Still feeling like an utter fool, she turns to the no one at the bar.
"I would like a room key, please." She nearly jumps when it simply appears; by now she should be starting to expect this but, of course, does not. The way she cups the small silver key in her hand is both protective and shy. "Ah, thank you."
She's not even sure who she's thanking.
"[Grandmother], thank you for your help. It is much... valued." The honorific having been shared, she bows lightly to Sallie. "I think now I will be able to find my way."
Being lost is, of course, something that must be measured in degrees.
