Sometimes you have to be careful with what you say, lest you call something into existence that you'd rather not deal with. Mia should have learned that lesson long ago, especially with how her recent conversations have been going, but no. She's spent her time talking about seers and fate.

Now she's learned she'll have to teach divination next semester.

She doesn't have the gift, but then neither does anyone else on the staff. The divination post has been empty for too long, however, so it's become her duty as Guildmaster to step in.

Mia's staked out in a corner booth with a stack of books and an assortment of items for fortune telling. Among them are a crystal ball, a big wooden box with a variety of herbs in their own marked panels, a few teapots and teacups, and some diagrams and color-coded charts. At least she can learn the mechanics and what a reading should sound like, even if her attempts at scrying don't work out. At the edge of the table is a sign:

Free Fortunes

Palms Read
Tea Services
Crystal Ball Auras

*Disclaimer: Not gifted with the sight and little to no experience with reading. Results WILL vary.

"I should've given this job to Dominic when I had the chance years ago," she murmurs, resting her chin in her hand while turning pages in The Basics of Divination.

If anyone can help her figure this stuff out, she'd appreciate it.

Jack's been around since he came in.

He took a room that evening, because it was easier than anything else. Since then, he's been in and around, keeping up with his PT outside (He hasn't yet found the gym), even when the snow came.

Today, PT has meant a Snowball fight, rather than anything hugely strenuous, but it raised his heart rate and kept it up.

So, when he comes in, he's shivering and cold, so he heads over to the fire to have a dinner of Steak and Ale Pie.

Later on, he can be found with a 747 Manual, still by the fire, flicking through it.

Contrary to popular belief, there is snow in the higher mountains of Greece and Asia Minor in winter.

When Antinoos came in from sweltering Thebes tonight and found snow outside, he got himself warm clothes like a Greek hunter or Roman soldier in winter would wear, and ran right outside. He had missed snow!

Now he's out there, enjoying the snow and the cold, and acting, for once, exactly as young as he is. After a while, he finds that he can't resist the idea of surprising some poor unfortunate (he's outside, so it's no violence, right), and when a somewhat small and scruffy fellow comes outside, he gets a soft, large snowball right in the face, from a safe position twenty yards away, in the bushes.

Ned Poins, however, is well versed with ambushes, so he spots soon where the attack came from, and gathers snow to retaliate, running towards the shrubbery -- and so, the battle is joined, and soon, there is a big white-and-brown dog yelping excitedly, and a big, blond Scotsman grinning widely and waiting to decide which side to take.

However, when you come outside today, you might get caught in the crossfire; or perhaps you'd like to join the battle just for the fun of it?

[[OOC: Party post -- tag in, then splat somebody else! Have at! Open until the weekend ends. Snowball fight as per this post.]]
