The song and rather dashing dance stops mid step as the Pirate King finds himself in the Bar again.

And everyone is looking rather piratical so he beams at Milliways in general and moves to the Bar where he's given rum.

"No, she does do some of it because when she first joined us she was Frederic's nurse. Now I feel that she's my first mate."

"Oh, that's a good job isn't it? Like second in command?"

"Yes, it is, we're quite lucky to have Ruth."

"What time are you from?"

"The reign of Queen Victoria, a fine and noble lady."

"Oh! Well you're very advanced in Women's rights then."

He gives a small shrug, "She's Ruth."

And also she can be scary.

"Oh no, we always make sure we're well supplied with limes and cabbage."

"That's good. We did scurvey in school."

"It can be a dangerous thing."

"I mean we learned about it, not we got it."

"That's for the best."

"And it makes sure we get enough fruit."

"Oh yes, fruit is quite important. So what are you going to be when you grow up, Carlotta?"

"I want to go back to the circus, your Highness."

"The circus, how exciting. I hope you get a chance to."

"Thank you sir. I go to boarding school at the moment."

"Education can be a useful thing."

"It can, but grammer rules and French are dull."

"Rules are always boring."

"Do pirates have rules?"

"Not that many and we can ignore them as we wish. After all I am the Pirate King."

"So you make the rules." Carlotta nods. "But I bet pirates don't have schools, unless you start classes with 'A is for Arr-me-hearties'."
