It's been a while since Cata was here with any regularity, but she's here now, at her usual table (one that affords a view of the vast majority of the bar while allowing her to keep her back to the wall).
There's a stack of essays on the table, which she's currently ignoring. There's a mostly-empty bowl of stew.
There's a newspaper in her hands - it may look unusual to Earth-based eyes, but it's clearly there to convey news - that she's reading and occasionally snorting at. Politics in the Six Lands, as Sam noted last time he was in town, have started getting interesting.

She may be taking particular relish in the fact that Natodik's gotten so bad without Mizzamir that no one's actually sure who's running it anymore.

Red's pretty pleased with how her full-moon experiment went. Obviously, any given situation is going to be different, but at least she knows she can keep control of herself inside a populated building.
She's currently in a chair by the fire, having a hamburger (since she can't get those at home).

They celebrated at the Greenbrier and in Rowlesburg the other day. Radio messages of congratulations and commemoration came in from the other Resistance communities around the world- from the people of what had been City 73, now Kinshasa again; from Beatrice's people in Andamooka, Prohaska's people in Gdansk, and scattered groups across Amazonia and India and eastern Asia. It was an amazing thing.

Gordon had done his best to learn to interact with people more in the time since waking on a train in City 17, but when you are effectively the focus of congratulatory and thankful messages from everyone in the world at once it's enough to make you fall off the wagon, so to speak. He lasted exactly as long as he had to in order to make a good showing for the radio folk, spent some time visiting people around Rowlesburg and the Greenbrier, and then retreated to his and Alyx's home, pleading the need to look after the babies.

There's still a lot of people in celebratory moods out there who want to shake his hand, so he's hiding out in the Bar instead. It's okay if you want to talk to the one-eyed physicist doodling out curvilinear motion problems on a roll of butcher paper, though. So long as you're not here to shake his hand and be enthusiastic at him, he'll make an effort to talk, or at least interact.

ExpandKanaya's had enough of being cooped up on the meteor after only a few months. )

When she returns, it's with trepidation, and with a notable lack luminescence. She's taller, though, since the last time she was here, and the troll looks around curiously for familiar faces.

Specials are not a thing done in the cantinas and clubs with which Santo is familiar, so no board goes up tonight. However, there is a large Mexican gentleman in a silver mask and white T-shirt and jeans behind the Bar, so it can probably be assumed that Happy Hour is on.

He's friendly enough, despite the mask. Do feel free to stop by.
