Scaramouche is packing. At least, that's what she claims she's doing. She has a rucksack, and she has enough bundles, boxes, jars, and bags to fill that sack three times over, easily.
Somehow, her list looked more manageable on paper.
So there's a teenaged rocker girl, with her supplies strewn out over the table, eying the lot and wondering how she got here, exactly.

Demyx beams brightly.
"Special delivery! Hi!"

Human-human interaction isn't a very common occurrence on Planet Mall.

"Open it open it open it~."

But he does seem rather insistent she open it, whatever it is.
"Yeah, alright, but if it's something that bites..."

And the present is indeed not a knife or anything else deadly at all. Well, you might be able to bean someone in the head with it. That could hurt.
A black shiny iPod - remarkably similar to the music player that Demyx had shown her before, so the purpose is at least clear. 'Scaramouche' is engraved on the back (it's the only name of hers that he knows) and it has only been opened once after the engraving - to load it up with rock music (heavy on the classical rock and good guitar work), a little bit of opera (making sure the song he played before is on it) and a smattering of other genres for sampling.

Ever see someone stunned completely wordless?
Now Demyx has, at least.
Utterly stunned.
Quick, take a picture, it's the first time she hasn't run off at the mouth at something unexpected!

"So do you like it?"

Maybe he does understand.

"Yeah. All yours, Scaramouche."

Of course, if Scaramouche were a different sort of girl, she'd still be going by the name 'Sally@thedoes.com' and would be working for Globalsoft just about now.
So instead she looks just about as awkward and embarrassed and ridiculously, enormously pleased as one teenager can.
"Oh, well... thanks."
Very awkward and embarrassed and decidedly pleased. Yup.
