Parker shrugs out of his coat on his way to the bar, grinning insouciantly at the rest of the place.

"Home sweet kidnapper," he mutters. Settling down at a table, he flags down a waitrat and asks for a beer.

"Do my eyes deceive me?"

Mary Anne squints from her seat at the bar, one hand held over her eyes like she's staring into the sun.

"If I didn't know better, I'd say that was Parker."

"And you'd be right," Parker says, grinning.

"Hey there, beautiful."

He gestures to a chair across from him.

She heads over and claims said empty chair.

"Hey there, your handsome self. How've you been?"

"Can't complain," he says, easily. "Been doing some gun running. Thought of you."

His smile is toothy and amused.

"How're you doing?"

"Warms my heart to think that firearms remind you of little ol' me."

She beams. "Not doing too bad. Had a pretty uneventful couple of months; good for recharging the batteries."

Parker nods. "I know how that goes. Sometimes it's good to... come home to someone."

Someone you actually like.

She nudges his ankle with the toe of her shoe.

"Or somewhere with a few good someones."

Parker laughs.

"That, too. You got your someones lined up?"

Mary Anne looks innocent. Utterly innocent.

"You think I should have them stand in line? You think I have enough of them to make a line? What kind of girl do you take me for?"

Parker raises his eyebrow.

"Well, now if you say you don't, I'll be disappointed."

Her innocent face is only so good; now she's having to bite back laughter.

"Enough to go from my door down the first flight of stairs, at least."

"See?" Parker says.

"That's my girl."

He waves a hand, "All hail the master."

Mary Anne holds her hands up in surrender.

"Alright, you're hailed, you're hailed."

"I meant you," he said, warmly.

"I've given up my wicked ways."

"I don't know whether to be sad or impressed. How are your ways, then, if not wicked?"

"Illegal," Parker says.

"And monogamous."

"Well, I'll be damned. Anybody I know?"

"Jack," Parker says. "Frost's ex-body. Now he's into ballet. Flexible."

He grins.

She grins back.

"Flexible is fun."

Parker nods and leans forward conspiratorially. "For an animated version of winter, the man is amazingly hot in bed."

Waving a hand, "What about you? Up to anything new? Doing anyone new?"

"Haven't been up to too much," she says.

"As for doing...oh, I've made a few new friends."

"Anyone interesting?"

Just because he can't play doesn't mean he can't look?

Exactly.

"A rather charming gentleman outlaw comes to mind."

Parker makes an agreeing sound.

"We always are more interesting than straight boys."

She grins.

"There's also an Elizabethan poet/spy, and I had a surprisingly friendly run in with my ex."
