There and back again: Planning and Bartending

Content that there were people here willing to help with her zombie problem, Amascut Sarah stepped out the front door to gather some intelligence, this time not from a zombie, since that failed spectacularly. Some of the guard on the wall might know something. Also, part of the reason for the quick trip back home is to give her sister (well, Keli's sister) and the Black Arms an idea of what to expect.

Later in the day she is back and heads to the bar. "Bar," she asks, "could I bartend today?"

Has hell frozen over? She never volunteers for bartending. "Thank you!"

Sarah draws up a specials board with a certain theme:

Have you guessed the theme yet? IT'S RUM! And lots of it. She looks underage, so bar must have forgotten to lock the liquor up. Or, maybe she isn't underage at home. Or something...

She changes channels on the TV over the bar to find something to watch while she waits for her co-conspirators or customers to show up.

Huh... I Love Lucy. Ok, she'll watch that.

Its mowing season and everyone has been out helping to get the crop in before any summer storms wet the hay. When Will enters, he's tugging his shirt on with bits of hay caught in his hair and all over his body.

Once he realizes where he is, he heads outside because his original plan was to go for a swim in the creek near Locksley but the lake is far better. As soon as he's on the beach, he strips off his shirt, his scars on his arms and back show up clearly against his tan as he pulls off his boots and trousers before plunging into the water. After a long swim to get rid of the hay that gets caught in the oddest places, he gets out, tugs on his trousers and lays on the grass.

Later he'll head inside to get an ale and a large meal to see what's been happening in Milliways since the party.

The door swings open to the sound of thumping house music.

A leggy, blonde woman steps through, distracted by checking text messages on her cell phone. (No word from Eric yet that he's coming home from Dallas.)

She's wearing a tight mini-dress made of black vinyl with a matching cropped jacket, her hair teased and tousled and sprayed perfectly into place. Those strappy, six-inch high stiletto heels could kill.

And when she finally glances up from her phone and realizes that this isn't Eric's office at Fangtasia, so could the look on her face.

"...Oh, what the fuck."

Who dares to welcome a pissed-off and confused vampire to Milliways?

When Sam walks in tonight, for once she isn't in uniform. She doesn't really have anywhere to where her dress to tonight, but she couldn't bear to wear her uniform a moment longer and it really was too early in the day for anything else.

Besides, she likes it. It's a pretty blue, and frankly, the world needs a little bit more pretty at the moment.
