Luckily, several of the Amis are there to lend moral support! For some mysterious reason, Javert is less than appreciative.

Childermass and Sunshine - two pups, two muns

They may have both experienced worse sleeping arrangements, but that doesn't mean that a couple of days and nights of being handcuffed together have been easy for Childermass and Sunshine. The situation wasn't dire, which is a blessing, but it was still plenty frustrating.

This is their last-ditch attempt. It hadn't taken long to write: Magically Handcuffed - Looking For Key onto the Specials Board. And that says it all, really.

"We're not the only ones looking," Rae says, careful not to pull Childermass' hand as she hangs the sign over the Bar. "So hopefully this'll help."

Childermass nods silently and settles in to wait.

Thor's in the bar, wearing his Security badge pinned to his truly hideous embroidered poncho-thing, nursing a tankard of mead and surveying the bar with an expression that falls somewhere between amused and sympathetic.

...More amused, admittedly. But he's sympathetic too! Inconvenience is rough, buddy.

X is sitting at the same table, with a root beer float. And a purple curly straw. And her own Security badge.

(Speaking of inconvenience, there's a handcuff attached to his wrist. It's dangling freely; the other cuff is attached to nothing except a couple of bloodstains, most of which he wiped off on his cloak.

This might have something to do with the fact that X spends a couple of minutes drinking her float while placidly holding her hand on. Only a couple of minutes, though! Healing factors are efficient for problem-solving.)

Happy Hour

Seeing all the people in handcuffs reminds William of his father and Ben Wade. When he goes up to the Bar to get a drink, he gets a napkin and moves behind the Bar.

Compared to some other odd times at Milliways, this might not be awful but it doesn't seem easy, he'll do what he can to make it a little easier.
