Bobby is not his usual bright and sunny self when he comes into the bar. In fact, everything about about him fairly screams, "bad mood." His is wearing a scowl and holding a wadded up newspaper in his hand, though it's hardly the newspaper that has him muttering in a dark growl as he heads for the bar.

"Stupid Johnny Storm. Stupid secret identity."

He sits grumpily on a stool as asks for Twinkies and an iced mocha. A large plate of the golden sponge cake treats appears, and he dips one in the mocha before taking a sullen bite.

"Yeah...we got our butts handed to us by the Hulk once, before we realized he just wanted to be left alone and wasn't hurting anyone."

He shrugs; you win some, you lose some.

"Dude! Wings? That's so unfair--are you a mutant, or is it the alien bit that gives you powers?"

"Yeah, I don't hulk out or anything, so no worries here." Teddy smiles, so completely not a true Hulk.

"The alien bit. Used to think I was a mutant, though."

"Maybe you're both? So what kind of alien are you? I mean...part human, or just taking human form?"

He's so not bothered by aliens anymore, as long as their not trying to kill him.

"I'm, uh... I'm half-Skrull and half-Kree. It's... I still think of myself as human, though. Don't exactly get along with my birth races." He frowns a little.

"Yeah...doesn't really mean anything to me, bro. I think I migta heard of Skrulls before, but...I'm drawin' a blank. Least you got cool powers out of it. Can you look like anyone?"

"Yeah, pretty much anyone, or anything... I don't think there are any limits as far as the shifting goes. Can't take anyone's powers, though, but I don't need to." Teddy takes a bite of Twinkie, savoring the blatant unhealthiness of the confection. He hasn't had one ever since... well, ever since his mom went anti-junk food. Oh, mom.

"I think being able to take someone's power might freak people out, anyway."

Bobby never found out that it was skrulls impersonating him and his friends, before, with technology to imitate their powers.

"I'm Bobby, by the way. I'm with the X-men in my world."

"Teddy; nice to meet you, Bobby. Really? So was the team-up with Johnny outside that?"

"Yeah. My team was all on my case because I turned the danger room into an ice rink, and his team was mad at him for melting a hole in the wall or something. We talked Spiderman into giving us his stake out for some bad guys, and we kicked their butts and started a good thing, ya know? Iceman and the Human Torch."

Then it had all gone horribly wrong when Johnny had hit on his girl.

Teddy nods. "Yeah, that's too bad. Maybe... maybe you should talk to her, when you get back? Or do something really romantic to impress her? I don't know a lot about girls, but that always cheers up my boyfriend."

Bobby blinks at the mention of Teddy having a boyfriend, then shrugs. Who is he to turn down advice from someone who actually has a relationship?

"I was working up to it when this happened. Now I'm worried that she'll go for him because everyone knows he's the Human Torch. She only knows me as Bobby--and I can't tell her I'm Iceman."

Not without getting in trouble and having Xavier making her forget, like, five seconds later.

"But... is Johnny kind of known for having... serial girlfriends in your world? Because if so, you should totally go for her regardless. A steady boyfriend is better than one who'll just dump her later, I think."

Bobby shrugs.

"Not that I've heard of. If he's any older than me, it's not by much. You must be from one of the world where I'm older--there's a couple others here who know some version of me that's from a team of X-men that have a LOT more members."

"Oh, yeah, probably. Sorry. But I'd say... just go for it, if you really like her, and think she might feel the same way? I know it sounds kind of cheesy, but you never know unless you try, man."

"Yeah. I just wish she didn't make me so nervous, you know?"

He can feel his anger at Johnny fading as it's replaced by worry.

"If she shoots me down, I won't be able to go back to the Coffee A Go Go ever again."

Teddy smiles sympathetically. "Yeah, that's why sometimes it's better to just decide, after a little bit, that you're going to go for it. How long have you known her?"

"About a year, though I didn't really start talking to her until a couple of months ago. She's a barrista, and we hang out in her shop a lot."

Bobby will never be sick of Twinkies; he takes another and dips it in his drink.

"Does your boyfriend know you have powers?"

"Yeah, we... we kind of met up because we're on the same team. He's a reality-warper," Teddy answers proudly.

"You lucked out finding someone with powers that you don't have to hide it from. Reality warping...that sounds like a mutant from my world, but she's a girl: Scarlet Witch."

"Yeah, in my world... Billy's the Scarlet Witch's son. It's... kind of a long story, really." Teddy doesn't know if Bobby wants to hear it, exactly.

"In my world, Wanda's only like...seventeen or eighteen years old, and was dating Angel."

He can't picture her with children.

"Who does she end up with?--I won't tell her."

AWKWARD.

"Um. Apparently... you know of anyone named The Vision?"

"Can't say I've met him. He a mutant, too?"

"No, a... what's the term... synthezoid. An android."

Even more awkward.

That get raised eyebrows.

"How does an android have kids...or want to?"
