[Pre-Milliways: Dot's latest doctor's appointment proves to be... interesting.]

Bob and Dot are in the Bar together. This is perfectly normal, albeit something that hasn't happened in a while.

Dot is seated in a comfy chair, while Bob is kneeling in front of her, talking to her pregnant belly. Unusual, but not terribly so.

The part where he seems to be encouraging his unborn child to zap his finger? That's new.

"Come on, Mairi, you can do it, just let it out..."

At least, she hopes talking Mairi into zapping something will be helpful.

Bob looks up at his wife's face with a wry smile. "This could be harder than I thought."

"She's not having any of it, is she?" Dot murmurs back, smiling. "Mairi definitely has my stubborn streak."

Pregnancy is just plain weird. So says the robot.

So. He stares at Bob and Dot with an extra helping of "whut?" to his expression.

"Doctor's visit today picked up Mairi having a fully developed keytool ability." She's polishing off a sundae while her erstwhile husband is cooing at her stomach again to get a response.

"And we want to make sure she knows how to use it properly so it doesn't hurt her mom," adds Bob.

"And that's why you're poking a finger at Dot's belly Bob?"

Must be a sprite thing.

"She responded to the poking with a zap earlier." Omnomnom. "We're trying to get her to do it again."

"I think she might be asleep," Bob remarks as he continues to poke.

Mairi may detect the approach of another (though considerably less interesting) dataform. Bob and Dot will certainly notice it, as it's looking curiously over Bob's shoulder. "What's processing?"

"We're helping Mairi figure out how to use her keytool functions," says Bob. "Hi, Enzo."

"Already?" Playing music for an unborn child is one thing, but Enzo's never heard of kids learning stuff before they're born, although admittedly everything he knows about pregnancy he's picked up during Dot's.

"Phong's scans picked up she's developing keytool abilities, one already developed." Dot replies, finishing off the meal.

Sure she detects, but that doesn't mean she comprehends what he is.

"Alphanumeric! Which one? Can she turn into stuff? Man, that'd feel weird in your stomach!"

"No, she can just shoot energy." Bob looks faintly appalled. "I hope she doesn't start shapeshifting on us."

AndrAIa spots the pair, and weaves her way towards them through the tables and patrons.

"Hello, Dot, Bob."

Bob looks up from Dot's stomach to give the Game-sprite a friendly wave.

"Hello, AndrAIa!" Don't mind if Dot doesn't get up. She's comfortable and she's got her husband waiting on her hand and foot for the moment.

She seats herself close to the pair (trio?).

"How're things processing?"
