The Tale of the Magic Radishes

When Abe no Seimei bows to Bar in greeting, as he usually does when he visits, a radish and a napkin note appear on the Bar's surface.

Seimei, who has been coming here long enough to be suspicious of anything that looks like free food, gives the radish a wary look and reads the note.

He looks at the radish again, this time with more interest. He picks it up and smells it carefully. So Milliways is treated to the odd sight of a man in a summer-weight kimono smelling a radish as if it were a fragrant flower, although granted, this does not even break the Top 100 list of strangest things that have ever happened here.

 Dick has a project. Funded by the odd Happy Hour, he has now bought several dozen yards of high quality trapeze rope, some bars, and the appropriate hardware. He is now in the rafters installing that hardware with all the care and attention any aerialist would give his equipment.


This means that if you look up, you may see a teenage boy hanging upside down, or even swinging around a beam several times, brandishing the occasional power tool, but mostly just testing and securing the apparatus with the fullness of his expertese.
