X slips downstairs after her shift in the nightclub, half-glancing at the back door before she decides to forgo training for the moment.
It is more important to eat something. Just in case.
The fact that X-23 (and her soup) are settled at the bar instead of her usual booth is entirely unrelated to anything.
Except that she refuses to be uncomfortable in what is, for now, her home.
This is just proof of that.
[ooc: This post is open until it falls off the front page or X gets another EP, whichever comes first. Thanks!]

She's not looking at him. Stitch stares at the side of her head. At the soup. At the floor. His fidgets.
"You want help?"
no subject
After a little while she looks at him, at least.
"I do not understand when people are angry."
no subject
Stitch's attention is now firmly fixed on his own toes.
"Is..."
"Hard."
To explain? To answer for? Both?
no subject
And then she turns back to her soup.
This is hard, too.

"Who's angry?"
no subject
"494."

She's still studying her soup intently.
It's easier.

Beat.
He shifts slightly, palms on Bar's surface in order to peer carefully at her. And take in her expression. It is significantly less subtle than the few he normally sees from her. His hands find each other, fingers intertwining nervously.
"I sorry."
He glances to his right. And then to his left. There does not appear to be any help in sight.
no subject
She tries hard not to frown.
"You do not mind when I talk."
Beat.
"It is okay."
no subject
Of course not. They're friends.

Then--
"Good."
If it's a little fiercer than normal--
She's had a bad few days. That's all.

Someone is absolutley lost.
no subject
X is lost, too.
This may explain why, after looking at Stitch for another few moments, she turns back to her soup.
Talking is not her best thing. Especially not lately.

And then a glass of milk is nudged sideways towards her.
no subject
Then--
"Thank you."
She takes a careful sip.
no subject
"'s okay."
no subject
"Okay."
She takes another sip of milk.

Beat.
Stitch closes his mouth.
He drains the dregs of milk from his glass, swallows noisily and hoists himself onto the Bar. And then, very carefully he pats X on the shoulder.

There is, however, still plenty to go.
