Tonight's theme is probably not the hardest one to ever figure out, but the small smile on Tifa's face and the humming coming from her as she puts away her chalk and gathers her hair in a ponytail both say she's not so homesick that she's not content to do her work.
On the contrary, her shift's one of only times all those other thoughts fade away into background noise.
Her smile turns into a grin as she ties an apron around her waist. "Can I get anybody a drink?"
[ooc: Thanks for the tags, guys! A little later than advertised, we're taking these babies slow from this point on.]

Stifling the smile some, she has to go on. "It's called a caipiroska."
He'd probably like the drink it's based on, too, but somehow she doubts he'd like to get bored with all the details. With Cloud or Vincent or Barret or even Cid, they'd probably get an earful about it from her, but this whole conversation seems like a careful dance after what happened last time.

He's tryin'. He's tryin' real hard here, and he ain't gonna blow it, and he ain't gonna say nothing to piss her off.
"And..." Yeah, might as well go for it, 'cause he doesn't like doing things in a half-assed way. Not when he's a total asshole himself. "Sorry about the last couple times." There. Apology done and he won't go into details about how come he was a total shit 'cause that ain't her business. So things suck out there right now for a Turk: it ain't her problem and it ain't her business.
He can't talk about that shit with her anyhow.

Her mouth wants to go slack with surprise as soon as the apology comes out of his mouth, but she does her best not to let it. Instead she smiles as gently as possible.
She can't say apology accepted. It's taken for what it is -- she knows enough to figure he's not the type to throw around apologies -- but her memory's a little too long for putting her hand on his arm and telling him there's no need to be sorry.
It's almost a relief when she sees the man with the glasses approach the bar. She makes eye contact with the new customer before turning to Reno again.
"Thank you for the file." She never thought she'd be thanking a Turk for anything, but she nods toward the drink in his hand and goes on. "Let me know if you need another one of those."

Anyhow, he's just seen a familiar face and seein' as how he's on good behavior tonight, he might as well go over and give Strife some shit. If his record holds, he can be O for 2 on the asshole factor. Yeah, yeah, yeah: he'll take it on as a personal challenge for tonight only.
Maybe next time he'll bring Tifa's dossier. Then she'll see he wasn't as full of shit about what's in it as she thought he was. Before he stands and moves over to Cloud, he sets a handful of gil on the bar to cover the cost of his drink and then some.
Just like always.
Even when he's bein' an asshole.
