[oom: Teyla finally tells her team. Some of them do not take the news well.]
When Teyla walks into the Bar, she’s dressed for sparring: bantos rods in hand, loose, flowing skirt that is little more than strips of fabric hanging from her waist, bare feet. (And the bulge in her lower abdomen that, so far, has only been noticeable to Teyla, is only just visible in her sparring clothes.)
When Teyla walks into the Bar, it’s quite obvious this is not where she’d meant to be.
When Teyla walks into the Bar, it’s also quite obvious she’s not terribly happy to be here. She stomps her foot almost petulantly, and makes a low noise in her throat that is almost a growl. After a moment, she tosses her hair back, straightens her shoulders and makes her way to the bar, setting her bantos rods on top of it.
If only she knew what to order.

A chocolate milkshake makes itself present before the ferocious woman.

It bothers her that it has become so often necessary for her to keep her emotions in check.

"And you did not offend me, but I do not believe a...milkshake is what I require at the moment."
Mostly, it doesn't give her any assistance in working out her many frustrations. Also, the smell is beginning to make her nauseous.

"I am...angry, but the cause of the anger will not diminish even should I find a way to repress it for a short while."

"But yes. If you would like to spar with me, I believe that would be sufficient for the moment. It is where I was heading when I came here."

[ooc: Fade? I'm no good with combat-type threading.]

His style is fluid like the wind and powerful like the tide, a very good challenge to the woman.

Her style is also fluid and powerful, more like a dance than a fight. And she always appreciates a challenge.

"Thank you, Ryu. You are also quite skilled."

Ryu walks with her to the counter. "It is interesting, this interdimensional Bar where I can be more open about the ways of the clan. With certain people, at least."
no subject
She bends her head at his words. "I am honored that you feel you can be open with me."
no subject
"And now, you do not face the same challenges anymore? The same dangers?"
no subject
"At the moment, what my people face is not known to me."

Teyla will mention the right one of she feels a need to. Otherwise, Ryu will not ask.

At the moment, what she can do is not much, but she is still doing it.

Heck, he is waiting for his father's return for the past six years. "Unsettling. And no strange happenings before that, nothing that could inspire them to go into hiding?" Not much of a question, more like a guess.

She has thought this over many, many times in the past few months.

Even the Wraith do not have the capability for such a thing.

You know, places of power where regular time holds little meaning.
