Justin's feeling colourful today, as well as artsy. Well, he's always feeling artsy but there is a work ethic behind today's need to draw.
SPECIALS
Rainbow Brite Blowing Sunshine Up Your Butt
Rainbow Brew
Nuclear Rainbow
And underneath;
Sit for a quick portrait, have a drink on me. And also, Happy Thanksgiving to everyone who celebrates it. Come join me if you wish you were at home today.
He has decided to do some work on his portfolio. So there you go, one blond teenager behind the bar, saying; 'We're on for Happy Hour, everyone. What can I get you?'
[OOC: In Soviet Russia, slowtime chooses YOU. In other words - thanks for great threads people, I'll be around all weekend to finish them up. :)]

Justin is better than making Esfir paranoid, and he has a lot of energy.

He grins and...hesitates.
'Sure I'll sit for you but...uh, who goes first?'

'My mom gave me some pencils when I was a baby and I never stopped.'
He's been saying that his whole life. It's the easiest way to explain how art is just part of him. As he starts to work, he adds;
'I'm Justin Taylor.'

He would hold his hand out for a shake, but Justin is busy and he's sitting still.

He works fast but accurately and, as usual, he's pretty absorbed in his work. Steve is good to draw, has an interesting face and...well, with a torso like that, it has to be a half-body portrait.
Fifteen minutes later, he stops and examines what he's got. Then turns it to show Steve...it'll be clear that Justin is very talented.
'What d'you think?'
He knows it too, but he's not cocky. Just self-confident.

He turns it back round and looks at it again.
'That's why I'm doing some work while I'm Bound here. I figure I might as well fill up my portfolio a bit - I've got an application in at the Pittsburgh Institute of Fine Art back home, though I might not go.'
He puts it down and picks up his Coke.
'Is that what you do for a living?'

Steve gets eyed for about three seconds before Justin asks the question. He's not at all shy and not very often subtle.
'What happened? Why would you give it up?'
no subject
no subject
OK, yeah. That's a good reason.
'You in the Army? I've met one or two people around here who were in that war.'

He shrugs.
'That's Jack Harkness. He was in the Air Force - you met him?'
no subject
"I haven't. American?"
no subject
'Yeah, but I think he flew with the British. I forget why - he was attached to them or something. He said the whole thing was pretty rough - and from everything I've learned about it, it sounds it. Were you one of the infantry guys?'
And all this begs another obvious question.
'...and are you dead?'

Some people get all the damn luck.
'But special operations must be interesting. Is it like in the movies?'
no subject
no subject
he laughs but it tapers off when it doesn't appear that Steve is kidding.
'...how the fuck does that happen?'
Seriously.
no subject
Really.
no subject
'Um. Well, that's...good?' he hazards. 'Or not?'
he can't really see any downsides - apart from the drag of having to go fight in a war - but there must be benefits, right?
no subject
Living for 170 years is a bit of a downside. As is surviving getting shot in the head.
no subject
He holds a hand up apologetically.
'I don't know anything about it, sorry. What's it like then? Being a super soldier?'
