The door opens, and a woman with long dark hair and a short black dress steps in.
Well, really, that's technically only partly true. But it's probably close enough to accurate. Workable, at any rate.
She stops and looks around. This doesn't feel like any bar she's ever been in before, and, darling, she has been in a lot of bars. Desperate people do like to drink, and a week in a bar here or there, that's like picking ripe fruit off low-hanging branches.
Well, well, well. Isn't this . . . interesting?
[OOC: If you're the sort who's good at recognizing demons, feel free. If you're not, though, chances are she's just going to come off as young human woman. Questions, etc., ping elsinorequeen.]

"A milkshake, then.
"Would you like to join me?"
A smile.
"I'm called Verity."

The rabbit-boy seems quite happy to see his suggestion taken up, and he puts one foot out in front of him, before swivelling on his heels, so that he's pointed towards the Bar. After a brief pause, he starts to stroll in that direction.
"I'm Momiji - ah, Momiji Sohma. Nice to meet you."
no subject
"You're very sweet to help out a newcomer."
She'll have to find a way to repay him.

He just smiles and puts one hand behind his head, shrugging and then hopping up onto a bar-stool, when they get close enough for him to do so.
One quick order later, and a frosty glass containing what happens to be a chocolate-and-coffee-flavored milkshake is settled in front of him, topped with a big spray of whipped cream and a cherry.
"There're a bunch of new people all the time, though. Most of them act like it's a lot weirder than you, too, so..."
no subject
Another quick order later, she has a milkshake, too.
"Really? Well, I've seen a lot, in my time.
"What do most people do?"

Momiji scratches thoughtfully at his chin. He had been in the "go quiet and wander around" crowd, a variant of the first group, most likely.
"I met this one girl here, a few days ago, who'd just found the Bar, and she thought the whole thing was an illusion. Not many people do that, though."
Which, if he were a reasonable teenager, he'd find stranger than he did the girl in question.

Verity looks around.
"I can see where someone might reach that conclusion. Or think that they'd gone insane."
no subject
"Really real" is not a very meaningful statement, but he's a teenager! He's allowed to yammer with relatively little clarity.
"Anyway, all the stuff here's too cool to be an illusion."
no subject
Ten years sounds like a long, long time.
"Unless it's a very good illusion."
no subject
Momiji has no need for your logic! Awesome stuff is awesome, therefore it must exist!
no subject
(There's something just slightly wrong about it, but only just slightly.)
"Is there anything about it you would say is the most cool part?"
no subject
The boy laughs, taking his lips off of the swirly straw that rises up from the rim of his milkshake's glass. When an answer doesn't present itself immediately, he even turns half-around, facing her properly.
"Just the people, I guess! They're all so different, and talking to them is a lot of fun. And sometimes you just meet people you really like! And the places they're from are still so different...that's the best part."
no subject
"And hearing all about what they like, and what they want . . ."
What they're willing to trade for.
no subject
He beams at her, all happiness and light, at the moment.
