Well, well.

He catches the attention of a little girl, standing near the door with an Ewok clutched to her chest. He's a very handsome man...handsome enough to be Hapan.


She's got a feeling he's not though. He gets a timid little finger wave.

Carlisle smiles to the young girl -- can't be older than five at the absolute -- and approaches very cautiously indeed.

"Hello." Carlisle takes a knee in his best bedside manner. "Do you know where I am?"

"Milliways." Amelia tells him, mumbling the word into her Ewok toy before smiling at him. "Are you new?"

"Yes I am, dear. My name is Carlisle."

One pale finger extends half the distance between himself and the stuffed animal. "And who is this?"

She lets him touch the animal, watching his hand. "I don't know yet. I'm Amelia. Welcome to the Bar."

There's something about his smell and posture that reminds Jenny of Alice and Edward. Which would explain why, sometime shortly after leaving Ryan's happy hour, she's studying him closely.

"Am I so distracting?" his quiet tenor voice tries very hard to conceal amusement.

"Interesting," she replies with a small but genuine smile. "You're interesting."

He'll have to ask Edward and Alice if they were also found...interesting.

Real family makes Jenny want to run. But, apparently, meeting the adopted father of the two vampires she considers adopted siblings makes her beam.

"Did Edward and Alice finally tell everyone about Milliways? Because you're not acting like a normal first timer." Beam, beam, beam and only then does she remember, belatedly and awkwardly, that humans and human-impersonators like to greet each other by holding out hands. "I'm Jenny."

Carlisle inclines his head, smiling apologetically at Jenny's hand. It'll take him some time to get over the whole tactile-avoidance problem.

"Carlisle. And...I suppose Alice and Edward telling me about Milliways warned me somewhat." Looking around the bar, "I confess to being still confused."

There's a very white cat on the bar, Carlisle, and it's eyeing you.

He, Carlisle corrects his own thoughts, staring down at the white fur. He can smell the alpha male.

The cat stares back, unblinking.

"Oh good, you can talk," the cat replies. "That'll make things much easier."

"Hello, sir," Carlisle replies with a smile that gives very little away. "Am I correct in assuming this is Milliways?"
