Doppelganger-plot kickoff
[oom: Upon arriving in Milliways, Lorne went, as he often does, straight to the cabin. There was some sleepwalking, and a couple nightmares. Not your typical Night In.]
Lorne's a little worried about the nightmare Jack had, and more than a little worried about having sleepwalked again after so much time.
And what better way to get rid of your worries than to settle in at the bar with a pint of your favorite amber and a sketchbook?
Botherable.

[ooc: Let the nightmares begin! Open to everyone, but first to comment with an ooc-note gets the alien life form. :) Questions? Go here or here.]

"Hey, want a cookie?"
His other hand is holding out a gingerbread treat, shaped like a star. He made a bunch, and he's having a bit of trouble getting rid of them!
(OOC: For plot, unless someone beats me. :D)

"Uh...sure," he says. He takes the cookie from the boy, and their fingers brush just a bit. There's no shock, no sign of static electricity or anything like that, but something is passed nonetheless.

And Momiji doesn't show any signs of feeling anything - indeed, he looks perfectly normal as he clambers onto an adjacent bar-stool, smiling to himself. He has another bit of gingerbread stowed in his shirt pocket, and he takes that out to nibble at, as he gets comfortable.
"It's not jinxed or anything. I guess that happens with free stuff a lot, around here."
If he could make magic prank cookies, though? He so would.

Lorne would definitely be there in the kitchen with Momiji if he knew how.

The bunny-boy shrugs, says a word down to the Bar, and gets a milkshake in reply. A few moments later, he's sipping at the green-colored, dubiously flavored thing and grinning.
"But I can't do magic, so."
From his tone, this is obviously a grave injustice.

"Bar has magic cookies?"
It should probably be pointed out at this juncture that Lorne resolutely does not believe in magic.

He hopes it wasn't from Bar! Then he'd have to look at all his after-school snacks with a worried eye, from now on! Though, he doesn't seem too suspicious, since he just keeps working away at his milkshake.
"I guess she probably could make some, if she wanted. She's Ms. Bar!"

"But I guess until then I should refrain from eating food if I don't know where it comes from."

About as safe as anything can be accounted in Milliways, at least.
"My food's safe, at least," he adds proudly. He's a purveyor of

Once he was done preening, though, he spun around on his bar-stool and smiled wide.
"I'm Momiji, by the way!"

"Nice to meet you, too!"

"Where're you from, kid?"

It's an odd bit of land and hard to explain, close enough to truly urban areas that Momiji can get pop in on the skyscraper his father works at in the evening and then walk home to his relatively rural home before it gets too dark for him to be running around. But it's nice!
"In Japan," he tacks on, just in case Lorne didn't know.

That makes him perk up a bit - and, as part and parcel of perking up, he gains a set of rabbit ears, poking high above his blond hair. There's no sign that they were there, before, but they seem perfectly natural, twitching and wiggling on top of the boy's head.
"Like, from back in your world, or from Milliways? I might know them, if it's the second one!"
