Observe, if you will, a boy and his pygmy puff, settled together at a table near the Bar, playing Battleship.
Or, rather, not quite playing. They've got the board set up and one side ready, but the pieces on the other end are all still unfixed. Because, clearly, Momiji can't torpedo his own puffball, and, anyway, the puffball in question would have trouble putting those little pegs into the ships. So, Momiji is just sitting around, wearing what he takes to be a captain's hat, while he waits for a dastardly opponent!
He's being very enthusiastic about the waiting.
"Are all our ships in place, Major Puff?" Momiji exclaims chipperly, practically throwing his hands up in the air.
The custard-colored ball just hops enthusiastically, as if to confirm this fact.
"Alright, then! Avast the mizzenmast and prepare for battle!"
And the puff bounces off to the other side of the board, circling it a few times. Presumably, it is trying to find a proper mizzenmast.
There are not any around.
Battleship, anyone?

Ginny and (especially) the new pygmy puff both get a big smile turned on them, along with a wave of greeting!
(The other puff, for its part, wanders back over, as well! The mizzenmast can wait.)
"We're playing Battleship. Or trying to, anyway."

She asks with a smile how can you not.

All the potential challengers have been scared off, obviously, by their intimidating teamwork!
"Do you want to play, maybe?"

And he gestures to the other side of the board, hidden from his own view by the vertical part between them.
"You see the little grid on the table, with all the letters and numbers on the sides? So, it's like a graph - and you take the little ship pieces and put them wherever you want on it! And then each player takes turns picking a spot, like 'B5,' and if that's a spot the other player has a ship on, they have to put one of those red pegs in it."
"Then, when your ship gets red pegs on all its spots, it sinks! And the first one to sink all of the other's ships wins!"

"Oh OKay I understand."
