"Eee!"
Excuse the noise, there's an excitable turquoise two-month old getting tickled with one of the new spring tulips by her mother. Both Mother and daughter are tucked up on one of the couches, enoying a breif moment of waking peace for the two of them.
"What is that, Mairi...is that a flower tickling you..."
Open to being bothered, or just to soak up the adorable.

He'd take up his usual activities but for the sound of a baby's squee.
Time to indulge curiosity and find the source of the sound.

The reason is simple, baby is getting tickled! Ofcourse her attention does go to the shiny new energy that's coming up, and Rad'll find himself being bombarded with babbling signals.

Pause.
"I hope the unexpected arrival didn't upset him? Too much?"

And ofcourse she just has to kiss him back. "How was work?"

Mairi however just giggles and tries to grab her father's finger from the beeping.

Hi, funny-uncle-Michael! Have a baby raspberry!
"Pbbht!"
"She doesn't mean that, you're just being silly, aren't you Mairi?"
no subject
"And speaking of whiles, it has been one, hasn't it? Bob told me and Jennifer about the thing with the Codemasters; have they made themselves known again? Speaking of Jennifer, you've not actually met her, have you?"

(All this conversation is a nice cover for the part of her brain that's going ZOMG POST-CANON FANFIC BABY (http://community.livejournal.com/milliways_bar/15703352.html?thread=643795512#t643816504) BORN TO ONE OF MY CHILDHOOD ROLE MODELS.)

Seeing that there's a Dot, she immediately heads towards the couch, only to see...
...a baby.
Jen is temporarily caught between an intense desire to squee, an intense desire to jump up and down, and an intense desire to cheer.
She settles for putting her hand over her mouth to suppress cooing.
"Ohmigosh. Ohmigosh, they really did it, they really did it. Dot?"

There's a tiny (to Jen's eyes) turquoise baby. So tiny that squee meters have now gone off the scale.
Jen stashes her bag and helmet next to the couch, and then grins down at Dot. In fact, she practically blasts Dot with goodwill.
"Now, who is this tiny person?"
no subject
One little tiny hand is lifted up to wave at Jen, with much gleeful burbling and cooing from the baby girl.

Jen gets down on her knees next to Dot and promptly folds her into her arms -- carefully so as to not disturb Mairi, of course -- and hugs her hard, then kisses Dot's cheek.
"Good for you, sweetie. Look at you! I'm an auntie?"
no subject
"Yes, you're an auntie. Well a godparent, should anything happen to me or Bob." God forbid, but, you know Dot. She has to have back-up plans for her backup plans, and someone would have to be very foolish to mess with a godmother like Jennifer Walters. "She's just under 2 months old now, and wearing us both out when she isn't sleeping, or eating 2 times her weight in formula every cycle."
