Fact: In Doc Potter's arms is a remarkably runty little demon rabbit.

Fact: Doc Potter's hands are suffering from first-degree burns, and his sleeves are singed.

Fact: The demon bunny is, even more remarkably, asleep, and has a muzzle firmly affixed on its snout.

Fact: Doc Potter looks about thisclose to conking out.

Fact: Never before in his life has Doc Potter ever attempted to adopt/domesticate an animal.

Probable: He wouldn't mind a decent conversation.

Jacen is fascinated by the demon bunny. He's seen them around outside, but there were always enough other, calmer animals to keep him occupied.

He peeeeers at Doc + bunny.

"Is it okay?"

Offering Jacen a quick smile, Doc nods as he ruffles the fur between the demon bunny's ears.

"I -- yeah, I-I think so. He's just a bit on the small side."

"Yeah -- I thought they were usually bigger than that."

He smiles, a little rueful.

"I never seen one up close, though. C'n I pet him?"

After considering the question for a moment, Doc Potter shifts his arms for slightly easier access to the demon bunny.

"Sure. I, uh. The muzzle ought to do its job, but keep your hands away from his face."

Jacen nods earnestly, though he's already more focused on the rabbit than the man. He moves his hand slowly, even though the creature's still asleep, and gently strokes between its ears.

"He's cute," he says softly. "Did he give you those burns? He musta been scared."

"Gotta admit, I was, too," Doc Potter remarks, fond smile already appearing on his features.

"Never been in close proximity with their species before."

Jacen nods thoughtfully.

"I don't think they like humans much. But I dunno. Maybe no one's ever tried before."

He glances up.

"Did you give him a name?"

"I -- haven't actually."
