"Wait, you want me? Oh, all right. Sure. Enjoy your nap."

He saw about fixing up a sign.

An old man wanders up to the bar as the gentleman puts out the Specials board, hands stuffed deep in his pockets. He's wearing faded jeans, and a well-worn plaid flannel work shirt over a Virginia is for Lovers t-shirt.

He peers at the sign and eventually points with an amiable grin. "I sense a theme."

Johnny shrugged, and smiled, eyeing the shirt a little, "Sort, was checking the list back here, and looked promising." Virginia's ok, but Johnny's a Maine boy through and through.

He then added, "Anything look good?"

Earl's face scrunches up as he considers for a moment, slipping into a bar stool near the bartender's station.

"Got any rootbeer back there?"

Johnny glanced around, and got out a bottle.

"Frosty mug?"

You'd think the old man was twelve years old by the way his face lights up.

"That sounds delightful, why yes I believe I will."

He extends his hand in greeting. "You'll have to forgive my manners. Name's Earl."

Johnny took his hand, of course, alert against any visions he might receive on him.

"I'm John. How's it going?"

"Oh not so bad."

[ Fresh baked bread, cooling on a windowsill, dappled with shadow and sunlight, the scent mixing with the breeze, on the most beautiful warm spring morning ever recorded in the history of creation. ]

"How 'bout yourself?"

"I have to say I do not know what any of those are," Ganymede says carefully, sliding onto a barstool lightly. "Is there a drink you would suggest, aside from Atlantean?"

"You'd probably get a similar effect with the Vulcan Mind Meld. It's 151 proof rum and ouzo."

"That does sound interesting." And by interesting he means 'I have no idea what it will taste like, but it won't kill me, so I can try it'.

"May I have one?" Despite the fact that he looks a little too young to actually be drinking, he has been for a long time. Though providing a photo ID to prove that could go awkwardly.

Johnny nodded, "Sure. I'm John by the way."

He then held out his hand to shake since suspected something up with the Atlantean request.

"I am Ganymede," he says with a smile, reaching out to shake his hand. "That is a more modern name, John, is it not?"

Johnny's hand came in contact, and his eyes seemed a little distant for a moment. Sure the cupbearer had heard of a seer or two over the centuries. Well that explains the Atlantean.

"It is, yeah. Let me go fix that drink for you."

Melpomene slides onto a free stool, placing her elbows on the bar and regarding the sign contemplatively.

"Any hints on how, exactly, to go about fooling a psychic?"

Johnny grinned back, "Can try, ask for something really strange even if you want something else? See if I catch on?"

"Not sure if I'm up for that, here. If we were in the real world, it would be a different story."

"How's that?" He wondered curiously.

"I exert some influence over peoples' thoughts," she says simply.

"Really? How does that work?" He's been around long enough to believe her, now it was more curious.

"'Stump the psychic,' huh. Well, I'm guessing that's you, right?" Axel asks, leaning against the bar.

Johnny came over to him with a smile, "That's what they call me. I usually go by John though. Really just means probably easy for me to figure what people want."

"When you consider that most people don't know what they want themselves, that's still a decent talent."

"Or at least what they'll probably pick, or the outcome of it. Thanks though."

He shrugged a little.

"That too. So, can you guess what I'm going to order?"

The spiciest thing the 'tender can mix is what he usually gets.

"Maybe," He then offered his hand out to shake, "I'm John by the way."
