[OOM: Revelations. In which things go differently than planned, but not badly.]
Ganymede does not usually resort to doing anything out of nerves. He has a book he's hardly paying attention to, and a glass cup of wine that is strong, and sweet, and nearly as dark as blood, when he glances into it. And a little bit of string he's knotted up and unknotted again and again for the past twenty minutes.
He couldn't go outside just when he wanted to practice archery, because of the light summer rain still drizzling. But he keeps rubbing at a spot on the side of his neck, that looks something like a hickey, only darker, and sluggishly bleeding when he touches it. He looks...conflicted.

An aromatic drift of cigar smoke is following the pronouncement.

"Interesting things have happened many times over in my life," he says idly.

"Do you come again merely to confuse me?"

"Please, stop," he says, lilting it up at the end in something almost a question.

"Emotions and thoughts are not as easily unknotted as bits of string, are they?" she asks, her voice as soft and warm the summer rain outside.

Ganymede looks up, picking up the stemless wineglass from the table, and takes a sip, looking thoughtful. "I have much to think about."
no subject
She tilts her head a bit.
"Which thought most plagues you right now, Ganymede?"

She laughs softly.
"Maybe swiftly moving, but hardly a surprise."

Much less at all. And what would happen when Dorian tired of him?

"He offered you something none of the gods ever did."
no subject
"How did you know I lived with the gods?" Though what he offered...even Ganymede didn't know what could be. "I could have had anything I wanted, on Olympus. what could I be offered now that I was not there?"
no subject
In a graceful movement, she slides from the chair back to the floor, her bare feet carrying her to Ganymede.
"He offered you choice. Zeus and the others did not. You could not have anything you wanted. You could only have what they gave. You could not have love; you could not have choice; you could not have freedom."
no subject
He does not want love, he doesn't think.

Ganymede is...still conflicted. He does not know where this is going, with himself and Dorian. And that scares him.
