After a certain incident with a green-hooded junkie, Bart's been out of the bar for a couple days again.

Getting electrocuted pretty much sucks, even if he is getting used to it.

He's back now, anyway, munching on a plate of nachos and keeping an eye out for Ollie in a booth carefully chosen for its vantage point.

Glumness is possibly back now, too.

Well that's not very nice.

But he's choosing to ignore that action and instead answer with, "No thanks man, I've just eaten."

Bart was totally just throwing that nacho as an offer, right?

"Thought I'd come check up on you!"

And ever so subtle in his manner, which is not at all subtle, Ryan is removing his flat cap from his head and sitting on it instead.

Bart notices.

And secretly lols.

"Yeah?"

Subtext: Gee. Guess you've done that, then. And can leave now.

"Yup!"

Ryan detects no subtext. He takes that as 'oh gee Ryan, plz stay and talk more'.

"Those nachos are actually looking pretty tempting now."

Helpfully, "You can get some of your own."

It doesn't stop him from eyeing up Bart's nachos.

"Yeah, I might just do that."

And a waitrat is clicked over for him to place an order. See Bart, that was a bad suggestion, for now he'll just eat with you too.

"You can get a booth of your own, too," Bart ventures. "Bigger." And not with him in it!

"Nah, I prefer the company," he says back with annoying amounts of cheerfulness.

"So, how have you been getting on, Jay?"

"All the worse for having met you."

Yep.

He's mean.

"Aww, you're too kind."

He's assuming that's a joke. And even if it's not, he's had far worse things said to him.

And oh look, nacho delivery. Om nom nom.

It's a good choice in booths because when Jenny enters the bar (hair down and a tan on her normally pale skin shown off by the bikini top and miniskirt; Florana has been brilliant) he's the first thing she sees.

How long has it been since she was last here? She's lost count of the days. But that doesn't matter. What does matter is rushing over to a certain booth, bright smile firmly in place.

She gets an Automatic Bart Smile, because she's Jenny and he hasn't seen her in days.

Which is possibly why she also is rather suddenly scooped up and spun around in a massive Bart hug.

While the hug is expected, that spin isn't. And this it gets a lot of laughter from Jenny as she hugs him back. It's probably at this very moment as well that she realises just how much she's missed him.

Nope, he's not letting go yet.

That whole not letting go thing works both ways. With her arms wrapped tightly around his neck, Jenny buries her face in his shoulder and just takes a deep breath. It's that lovely Bart-scent which fills her nostrils and that familiar heat warming her body that would be uncomfortable if he were any other human.

"Travelling," she murmurs, molding her body against his. "On Florana most recently. How long have I been gone?"

"Week and a half or something. How was Florana?"

Really? That long?

Jenny blinks and pulls her face up from his body to look at him for a moment. "Brilliant, but... but a week and a half? Really?"

"Oh."

She's not sure she likes that.

"Did... um, did you miss me?"

She nods slightly.

For all Jenny knows, he may have met someone better than her while she was gone. Isn't that obvious?
