[OOM: Sometimes plans don't quite work out.]

Felix rushes in, nearly tripping on the doorsill. When he notices where he is he stumbles to a stop and tries to get his breath back.

Once he's gotten a glass of water from Bar he remarks to no one in particular, "Well, that could have gone better."

[OOC: Open all the way down, but responses will be slow tonight.]

Amanda offers him a warm smile, "It happens to the best of us. After all Bar does know how to catch us off guard."

"Hm? Oh, no, showing up here didn't affect the situation. It was... the information we had to work from wasn't enough."

Amanda raises an eyebrow, "I don't think I understand. What were you doing before you arrived here?"

"In the immediate sense? Running for my life. More generally I was part of an attempt to obtain the Elemental Stars."

Felix isn't certain just how honest he wants to be, yet.

Amanda nods only understanding the running for his life part.

"What is an Elemental Star?"

Felix considers, for a moment, just how much to say.

"Essentially, jewels containing the power of each element. The legends say that even one of them could grant enough power for one man to rule the world."

Probably wise with Amanda her eyes flash for a moment and then subside once she remembers where she is.

"And it went well?".."The retrieval of this Star?"

Felix nods, a little hesitantly.

"Most of it. Things went rather sour toward the end, but until then it was going well."

"And you are now safe here." she smiles warmly.

"Would you like something to drink?"

"Thank you, some peach juice would be nice."

Amanda orders a peach juice for him and a blue smoothie for herself.

"I'm Amanda" she offers her hand to the boy.

"I'm Felix."

His handshake isn't anything special.

"Well kick up your feet and relax for a little while." with a smile and a warm glance around the place, "After all that is what this place is for."

Felix nods. "It does seem like that. And for meeting people from other worlds"

Amandas smile broadens, "Yes, that does make this place interesting."

Felix chuckles a little. "It certainly is. So do you mind if I ask about your origins?"

"Not at all. I was 'born' in 820 AD in a city n France." she smiles wryly.

Felix nods. "I come from Vale, on the world of Weyard."

Then: "What does AD stand for?"

Amanda nods. She smiles, "AD stands for Anno Domini"

Felix takes a few moments to work his way through that. Then he comments, "That must have been quite a ruler."

Amanda shrugs, "It's a way to keep track of the passing time."
