There is a most interesting sight near the door this morning.
More specifically, there is a Jordan Kennedy, coming and going. Each time she comes in, the young woman with the mechanical forearm brings with her parts and components of some kind of machine, setting them in neat piles over an around a table.
She is quite obviously trying to fill as little space as possible, but the piles are growing and growing. Also, the girl is obviously getting tired and sweaty from the work, even with the minimal clothing she is wearing.
Help would probably not be turned down, curious people would probably not be sent away either; one way or another, someone ought to check just to make sure it is not a death ray.

She has issues. Lots of them.

He is content to just lie there with her, close but not too close and relax. Maybe doze a little.

Getting up, she peels off her top and shorts.

"Damnit, Jordan."
He pulls himself up and grins.

"You're really gorgeous."
no subject
Jordan is blushing.
Damn it, why heroes keep doing that? She does a short sprint and dives into the water, the shock of cool onto her skin serving to break the embarrassment.
Some.

It's one of the traits that heros have...they can charm girls.
He does sneakily reach out and tugs gently on the string at the back of her neck..

Coming up, Jordan treads water, not realizing she is putting up a show.

Jordan submerges again, surfaces diving against an incoming wave.
And look, her top came off completely. It would be a shame if it disappeared, right?
no subject
What now, Jordan?
He comes up behind her, and tucks her hair behind her ear.
"You look even better wet. And I mean that in the lake-water sense...not..."
Yeah, he'll let that hang there.

"It's better than being a wet squirrel. You should see him some time. It's pretty funny, because after he gets wet, he's pretty useless because he's whining about how long it'll take to get dry and clean again."
Beetle is alternating flicking his eyes to her face and her chest. It's less noticeable that way.

Jordan squeaks in horror and covers her chest. "Damnit!!!"
no subject
"Now, Jordan, if I were to find your top, what would I get out of it?"
Bargaining. Yes.
no subject
"And that you probably hid it too." Not funny.
no subject
It is funny. Sometime she'll be able to laugh with it.
"But don't zap me while I'm wet; that's all I ask. Turn around."
no subject
The Beetle better find a way to un-upset her quick.
no subject
"I'm sorry, Jordan. You're just so...god..."
no subject
And a bit uncomfortable too. "So what?"
no subject
"Sexy, brilliant, fun, charming...even your vulnerability and everything...I like you, Jordan."
no subject
"I am a criminal, because that is all I can be. I am used to people wanting to kill me or taking advantage of me, or making fun of me, or being condescending, or patronizing or several of those at once."
"I don't know what to do with all this attention, and..."
And she is trying hard to not just lash out with violence to make the confusion stop.
no subject
"I don't want anything from you, Jordan. I'm not those people that you're used to. I used to be, but I'm trying to be better. I'm...I'm gonna go. This was a bad idea. If you need me, or anything, you know where you can find me."
He moves to the edge of the lake, gets out, grabs his things and walks inside.
A few moments later, a waitrat comes out with drinks, a few snacks, and a white daisy for her, that was supposed to be delivered while they were both out there.

Life was so much easier being a complete supervillain...
