Sam is feeling... worse. So much for flushing whatever this is out of his system.
He's currently in a chair by the fire, alternating between filming things with a camera the Bar gave him this morning and... wondering what in the Abyss the thing is supposed to be; it's safe to say there's nothing like it in Bistort.
Watch out for the occasional sneeze.

(OOC: Subject to random bouts of slowtime throughout the day, but open until his next EP, which will likely be Thursday sometime.)

"...sort of," says Alyx. "Only much, much more sophisticated. And complicated. And you're gonna break it if you keep swinging it around like that."

"...Right." The camera's rightful owner takes hold long enough that Sam sets the thing down - very carefully.
"If I've a whole week of this to look forward to, I... think I'll be staying here."

"Probably a good idea," says Alyx. "You know about the rental rooms upstairs, right?"

"I think someone had mentioned that. I'll have to look into it."
If he'd found Cata by now, he might ask to share her room, if she has one - but he doesn't know if she's had to deal with this plague or not.

"On that note," says Alyx, "I'd probably better go up and take a nap. I'm obviously not as close to being over this flu as I thought I was."

She stands up. "It was nice meeting you--ah--?"

"Call me Sam." At least he's sure of himself for long enough to make the introduction.
"And you as well, though hopefully next time, it'll be under... more coherent circumstances."
He likes knowing what he's talking about.

"I'm Alyx," she says with a friendly smile. "See you around."

"See you around." Hopefully without any spontaneous bursting into song.
After she goes, Sam leans back in the chair and tries to muster the strength of will to get up and ask the Bar about a room. But it doesn't work out quite like that; all that activity's taken a lot out of him, considering he's not as far into this illness as Alyx is, and so closing his eyes for just a moment turns into full-on sleeping.
He'll get to that room thing eventually.
