Guppy is tucked in one corner of the bar, knitting a blanket for a small person. Not his small person on this occasion; it'll be a gift for Mia's baby.

The task is helping to keep his mind occupied and not stressed, but he's still keeping a close eye on the room. And he has his sign up, just in case.

Company welcome, even if it's just to mock his knitting abilities.

Urquhart is leaning next to the fireplace, eating a banana.

When he sees Guppy (but not the child), he finishes the banana, drops the peel into the fire, picks up the bunch of bananas from the coffee table, and walks upstairs.

And is gone.

Had the child been there, he'd have left with the banana uneaten, and without the rest of the fruit.-

Guppy flinches when he walks past.

He wonders how long this awkward state of affairs will continue, with the two of them being unable to stay in the same room without one of them panicking.

He cannot help hoping that Urquhart will consume all the bananas at once, suffer a cardiac incident from the excess potassium, not fatal, but enough to weaken him enough to leave people alone.

He is sufficiently distracted that he finishes the row with pearl stitches when he was supposed to be on knit stitches, and has to take it all back and repair it.

Hey, it's a familiar face. And one that won't tell him to go away, at that!

Jools approaches tentatively, scratching his head.

"Uhm, Guppy," he says. "Do you got a minute?"

Guppy, who's just finished calming himself from Urquhart going past, looks up.

"Sure Jools, have a seat." he says. "What's up?"

Jools nods once an sits down.

"Uh, I told you about Hannah, right?" He asks. Without waiting for a response, he continues.

"Her boyfriend said tonight that he's going to Australia. Only, he's gonna be gone for a while."

Guppy nods.

"You're thinking of trying to win her affections while he's gone?"

Well, he wasn't going to admit to as much.

"Is it wrong for me to be happy that he's leaving?"

[guppy_sandhu]

"No." Guppy says. "But you should be very careful what you do. Is he big?"

Val's not one to give any sort of criticisms regarding the domestic skills but she does have a few questions which Guppy may be able to answer.

"Hello. Dr. Guppy wasn't it?"

"Yes, that's right." Guppy looks up and smiles slightly. "I'm sorry, I forgot your name."

"It's Val, Val von Doom," she replies. She'd offer her hand but she's not sure if Guppy has a free one at the moment. "You work in the Infirmary right?"

[guppy_sandhu]

"Yes." Guppy puts down his knitting and shakes the hand. "I think we did meet once, and yes I do; what can I do for you Val?"

"I was wondering if anyone has done any sort of spectral analysis of any patrons. I'm trying to determine if it would be possible to make a key to open doorways but so far I can't see anything that creates the doors in the first place."

[guppy_sandhu]

"Er... that sounds less of a medical thing and more of a Ray Stantz thing. What do you mean by spectral analysis?"

"Hey," Atton says, dropping by Guppy's corner. "Small fighting festival at Renzalia, just outside my door. Interested?"

"Hey." Guppy looks up. "Yeah, sounds good."

He puts his knitting away. He's showing his usual signs of stress - twitchy and a little tired - and could frankly use a good scrap in a safe environment.

"Need to stay in training, there's a guy here that keeps hassling me."

"Want me to talk to him? Oh, you'll need shorts, by the way, and a towel."

[guppy_sandhu]

"I'll grab some from the bar." Guppy says.

He hesitates, then says.

"Yes please, if you don't mind. His name's Urquhart. He's got a crossbow so I can't fight him - he could shoot me from a distance at any time and he's got some weird interest in Alex. But you've got to make it clear that I can't and didn't tell you why he was threatening me because if I tell anyone he'll kill me. I'm not going to tell anyone his medical details, I just want him to leave me alone."

"Sure thing," Atton says, ruffling Guppy's hair. "Get that stuff, and then we'll head out."

"Thanks." Small smile; he knows Atton will protect him even if Security can't arrest this guy yet. "Don't kill him or do him too much damage, just let him know you could, and that you've got a psychic link to me, or something like that please?"

He gets the shorts and towel.

"What's the towel for?"

Speaking of babies, there's a very pregnant woman seated not too far from him, balancing a bowl of too-perfect looking starberries on her belly as she snacks on them.

Guppy spots her and smiles.

"They look like good strawberries - don't get them like that at home."

The aqua-haired Game sprite grins at the man.

"You wouldn't. They're not meant for humans."

[guppy_sandhu]

"I thought they looked too perfect." Guppy says.

She grins at Guppy.

"You're familiar with sprite food, then?"
