House heads to his office and opens the door.  The office, from the outside, has glass walls.  It does not show what through the door shows.  He leans his head into the door, notes what he sees, leans back and looks through the glass, notes what he sees, before popping a few more pills and limping through the door.

Perhaps he needs to cut back on the medication.

Perhaps someone should tell him where he is?


Open until he gets a new one!

She grimaces a little at House's use of her name. It just sounds strange coming from him.

"Right. I think you last guess was at 'hot, all weekend, bisexual orgy', right?"

Coreen laughs a little, looking to Thirteen. "If that's what you want, I'm sure the Napolitanos would be happy to help out."

Gotta have at least four people for an orgy, right?

"Bisexual, lesbian, transexual, whatever works as long as there's video evidence. Hey, speaking of that, I think I found your Girls Gone Wild video."

Yes, he is an ass.

Thirteen's jaw tightens, and Coreen can probably feel her clenching and tensing again.

"Thanks, House."

Which is why there's the most subtle of touches, brushing her fingers against Thirteen's, under the table, as a way of saying, 'it's alright, I'm here and on your side.'

She clears her throat a little. "It'd be cool if we could find something else to talk about. So, let's explain the rules, shall we, Rem?"

He notices the slight movement, but doesn't comment. For now.

"There's rules?"

She relaxes ever so slightly at the reassurance, but her reply to her boss is still relatively terse.

"There are three. Keep it PG, no violence, and no outside business."

"And by outside business, she's talking things like...well, causing shit here for some problem back home. What goes on back there stays back here. Neutral ground."

Even if it does get broken a lot.

He nods slowly, eyes on the two women.

"That scar on your chest," he responds. "How'd you come by it, and why hasn't anyone stitched it up?"

"Some rundown with a demon and being possessed by it," she replies. "It's a long story."

"Yeah, it's...a really long story," she agrees. "Happened a while back. It just is worse if anyone pokes and prods, so, it's fine."

He whistles low, "Now, you've got to be fucking around. Demons? Like the devil and pea soup?"

He doesn't buy it. Not for a second.

Thirteen nods.

"Demons. You'll see all sorts of crazy shit like that around here."

She nods. "Yeah. Home sucks...I'm...well, not by much, but a little safer here."

This is very interesting to House. There's things that go bump in the...uh, bar?

"So, different world then?"

Another nod, and Thirteen relaxes some more.

"Plenty of them around here. You can go visiting, too."

"I don't go a lot of places. I like it here."

She lives here most of the time.

He raises his eyebrow. "You live here, in a bar?"

Well, that's an interesting thing.

"It's a nice place most the time," she defends. "Albeit a little crazy."

"More than a little," she concedes with a laugh. "But it's pretty much home."

"So I take it there's places to stay upstairs then?"

It's the only way he can figure there's a place for a pretty girl to stay.

"There is," she answers. "All you have to do is ask Bar."

She flashes Coreen a brief smile.

"Those rooms are a godsend, aren't they?"

She squeezes her hand for just a second before pulling it back to her lap.

"They really are," she says smiling almost too innocently. "It gives everyone some space to call their own, and privacy. A lot of people live here..."

He nods slowly. "Makes sense...wouldn't make a good bar if there wasn't a place for drunk people to go to."

"Right," she agrees. "And it's be cruel of bound people didn't have a place to stay."
