The Pirate King has no idea about Mardi Gras, but the Pirate King is in a good mood since he just got to throw Frederic over the side and gets to drink sherry.
So he's humming and followed by just how glorious it is to be a Pirate King as he enters.
As he sees the various outfits, his smile grows to a smirk, perhaps he can find some other ways to celebrate for oh the women of Milliways are rather glorious themselves.

As it is, she's fairly glad--if still faintly confused--that in hers, such things are completely normal. At least the clothes. the mask, however, she can deal with as long as it's off her face.

"People from my world call me Kai," she says; it's not her given name, but she's thinking it would be fun to see who will recognize her and who won't. And it's not a total lie; that's the name on the identification she carries, though with a different picture.
