Carlisle has been trying to stay more in Forks of late, with Bella still needing care, and Edward needing what little support he'd be willing to accept.

That being the case, his flowers were kept for him by the Bar, still fresh and bright when he arrives to see if he has any messages.

The note attached is read quickly:

...it confounds all notion of time:
effaces all memory of a beginning, all fear of an end.

It puts a smile on Carlisle's face. The flowers will look great in the infirmary, pollen be damned for now.

Emma's here really early for once. The bar decided to show up in her bathroom instead of...during a Cabal meeting or something more normal. So she's in a white silk robe, her hair pulled up...but still managing to look like Emma Frost.

"Lovely flowers," She murmurs to Carlisle. She remembers him from that one time they talked. Awkwardly out in the cold.

Dinah is, coincidentally at the bar as the flowers arrive, and she grins with natural pride.

"Do you like them?"
