Ianto Jones is writing in his diary and having coffee.

There's a lot of catching up to do--things happen fast sometimes, and it wasn't but two pages ago that he was missing Jack and wondering what he'd say if Jack ever returned, and now...

Well, Ianto doesn't use a lot of exclamation points, as a general rule. But one or two may have turned up in today's entry.

Ianto smiles fondly. "The very same."

(OOC: Aaaaand now the gold-medal attempt to meld the link above into this thread with some intelligence....)

There's blinking.

"Y'boss, Jack Harkness?" Ace asks, looking for clarification here. "...."

There's a bit of a pause.

"So, how does rumor match up with reality?" What? They shared a TARDIS ride. Even after Gamestation, Jack was... Jack.

"Yes," Ianto says contentedly. One might even say smugly. "My boss. Jack Harkness.

"And the rumors are so, so true."

Ace breaks down into a fit of giggles, settling her mug of cocoa on the table so as not to spill it.
"Oh, fantastic." She finally manages, when she gets her breath back. "He's a good sort, y'v'done well with him. Sure, he'll flirt with anything that might potentially be sentient, but..."

She pauses, and grins, faintly. The words come from a different time, a different where, a different level, do ya.
"He's of the White. Despite all."

"I know, he's a dedicated flirt," Ianto says, and then tilts his head. "Of the white? I don't know what that means."

"It's..." She scrunches her nose - there's a whole culture, a whole conglomerate of cultures in that phrase. And all of those who might have explained it best are gone now.

"It means... more than just the 'good' side, but the right side. The... side that's not tryin' t'end all."

It's not quite right. But it's the best that she can get at it, in words.

"Ah," Ianto smiles, and smiles that smile, the one that's kind of proud and kind of loving and all sorts of happy. "Yes. He's definitely that."

Ace grins, and shakes her head. She's sure Jack would have some comment, but he's not here, is he? Thus, he deserves everything he gets.

"Give'm my love. An' then be prepared to duck."

"Perhaps I'll wait until he's otherwise occupied to do that," Ianto says mildly.

Has Ianto ever mentioned he's quite good at knots?

La la.

"Prolly wise." Ace nods sagely, sipping her cocoa. "I'm fairly sure that ancient sidepiece of his still works, so."

"Oh, yes, he brandishes it quite frequently. Not towards me, though."

Not in the last, oh, year and a half or so.

"Well, one hopes he's not threatenin' t'shoot potential significant others. if he is, I'd have t'come on down an' have a chat with him. Which'd be embarassin'. For me."

Because she STILL can't hit things. Woe.

"He only threatens if he has good cause," Ianto assures her. "And since he's the only significant other I want, it works out rather well."
