Gordon's been busy doing suit maintenance upstairs and forgot the deal he made with Bar earlier in the week. As a consequence he comes skidding down the banister and practically leaps over the bar- he just looked at the clock.

"Just a glass of white wine. You're quite welcome. How are you doing?"

"Pretty well, thanks," Gordon says. "Still a little boggled by it all."

But it's a good kind of boggled.

"You'll get used to it and be a wonderful father. How can I help?"

[acts_of_gord]

"As soon as I have a clue I'll let you know," Gordon admits. "I don't even know where to start asking."

"I'm sure you'll find some questions."

[acts_of_gord]

"Probably," Gordon admits. "I was the youngest. My cousins were all older, too. Not like I grew up around babies."

[wheatencrown]

"No, few people have."

[acts_of_gord]

"... uh?" Gordon blinks. "I thought people used to. A lot."

[wheatencrown]

"Not to the level they used to. There's too much daycare these days."

[acts_of_gord]

"We're going to have to rely on a lot of support people," Gordon says gloomily. "There's going to be a war on. I doubt we'll be able to bring it to a close by the time the baby's born- we're going to need some people to look after the two of them..."

"I can help with teaching there and watching over in anyway I can."

Gordon nods. "I'll let you know when we get closer," he says. "The situation could change at any moment, but when it's almost on us..."

"I know and I'll try and be here so I can be with you if you need it."
