It's that time of year again! Zhaan is sitting at a booth, the table of which is covered with a blue-and-silver cloth. On top of the table are piles of neatly packaged and lovely-smelling items. There is also a paper sign:
For Sale
Tea, incense, soap, candles, spices, scented oils and other herbal items
All items are priced in credit pledges: please consult the Bar for exchange rates

Some of the things smell familiar from his time in the gardens, some are mixtures where the ingredients were carefully blended to form different scents from the components' own. All of them seem fascinating.
Zaknafein is currently looking for lilac-scented items, because there is someone that he wants to surprise, if at all possible. If that person is still missing, then Zak will simply leave the gift (or gifts) in his room.
The exchange rates still confuse Zak, though. He's never really had to excel at converting one type of currency to another, and he's not sure how much these items are priced at.

She certainly looks happy judging from the smile on her face, but it just blossoms brighter when she catches sight of the table full of Zhaan's wares.
She checks and...yes! She does have her money with her on this accidental trip! So she goes to Bar, exchanges a portion of it, and goes over to browse the table.
The baby is torn. The scents, while reminding him of Papa, are a little too intense this close and he'd rather cover his nose, but he wants to look at the Blue Person, too. This results in him hiding half of his face so that his nose is covered but his eyes are not, tugging at Mama's top while he's at it.
Mia notices this and assumes he's being shy before examining the soaps.

Ah well. She kisses him on the temple and continues to look.
"The soaps look very nice, as do the herbs and oils. I might have to get a little of each for my husband. He likes to cook and to brew potions."

Mia pauses to think a moment, gently bouncing Cepheus as she does.
"I'm not sure, but he does like to experiment both with his potions and his cooking. You don't happen to have anything like a sampler packet, do you?"

She turns to Cepheus to add, "Won't it be a lovely present for Papa on Father's Day?"
Cepheus has nothing to add to this right now.
Mia looks back to the soaps and goes, "I'd also like some soap. Something gentle for Cepheus here and then something for my husband and me."

"Oh? Do you like this one?" she asks.
He reaches his little fingers towards it.
"I think I'll take this one and the one here," she says, pointing to the honey and licorice one.

She puts the soap back down and Cepheus continues to reach for it.

She puts down the quoted price and a little extra.
"A down payment for the sampler."
Cepheus reaches out a hand, following Mama's as she puts the money on the table. When she takes her hand back, he holds his hand up as if he's going to wave at Zhaan.

She turns to her baby and says, "Can you say, 'Bye bye,' Cepheus?"
He babbles some, his hand still up, but he does turn his lips up into a smile.
