In the middle are plates of home made cakes and biscuits shaped like farm animals. Next to them are bowls of icing, sprinkles, and writing icing.

"So you know when someone is born that they're a wizard, it doesn't just happen?"

"Yes, we know. Often one or both of their parents are magical, and if not, then we have departments at the Ministry of Magic for detecting them and making sure they get a proper education."

"Must be a bit of a shock when the parents aren't one."

"Department of Muggle Relations deals with that, I think. There's a girl who comes here, Penny, who works there, I think." Well. Worked. Teddy assumes she'll work there again.

"Oh, Penny, yes I met her." Guppy says. "I think, anyway; she didn't mention it."

"She was at Life Support a while ago, which is where I met her."

"Oh, yes, I met her the same week I met you, so it probably is the same one."

"Probably. I was meant to be teaching her how to keep herself hidden while she's on the run, but I found out I don't really need to - she's got it all figured out already."

"Maybe being on the run is why she didn't mention it. But I keep everyone's details - wizard, mutant, werewolf, whatever - to myself."

"Kind of, but also I see it as a courtesy as much as anything else." Guppy says. "In some worlds, or here, people might be threatened if information about them got into the wrong hands."
