Enzo is, in no particular order: two inches taller than he was yesterday; at a table; reading something; cranky; and botherable.

"Hey, Enzo," Annabelle says with a grin. "Looks like you got another upgrade."

Enzo looks up. He smiles awkwardly and tries to shuffle his README out of sight.

"Uh, yeah. Hi, Annabelle. How's it going?"

Why do all the women he's friends with have to be so hot?

It is a mystery.

"Not too bad, now that things have gotten back to normal." The shuffling of the README gets a glance, but she doesn't ask.

He manages a genuine grin at this. "There's a normal?"

Annabelle gives Enzo a rueful smile. "Normal for me, at least."

A little person is staring uncertainly at Enzo.

Enzo does not notice the little person immediately. When he does, he brightens. "Hey, Fry!"

"Hello Enzo." Fry says, bending down to poke the icon on Enzo's shoes.

"Grew and grew..."

Enzo laughs a little at this.

"Yep! But not into a tree."

"Tree green." Fry considers.

Here, Enzo, have a distraction!

"Hey there, Sprout."

AndrAIa wasn't there just a moment ago, was she?

Oh, no. No, no, no...

"Andr^AIa! H-hi!"

Oh, yes. It had to happen sometime. Though the nervous flail-y-ness of Enzo's reply is enough to give the Game sprite pause.

"Everything alright, Enzo?"

"Fine, fine! Why ^wouldn't everything be fine?"

He winces as his voice glitches, and tries not to stare at her, or at least to keep his eyes on her face. It ain't easy.

Like Tetris, things fall into place as she notices her brother-in-law's increase in size, Auto-Tuned voice, and the luminescent shade of jade his face is.

She has had to deal with this once before, remember.

"Ah," she says simply.

"So. How much longer will we be allowed to keep calling you 'Little Enzo'?" says a Matrix who is grinning a lot amusement over Enzo's new condition.

"What makes you think you're still allowed?"

Smirk.

"So. How many cycles has it been since you got the upgrade?"

Enzo's his copy; he knows it will have happened at the same time as it did for him, but Milliways has a habit of distorting time for everyone.

"None. To^day. Rrrrrgh! Stupid voice!"

"Right on schedule then." Pause. The smirk is now a grin. "You get used to that."

Bonzo waves to Enzo when he notices him at a table. He notices that Enzo is taller than before and reading something; the crankiness isn't readily apparent to him; and the botherability is sort of assumed in Milliways.

"Ho, Enzo. What's up?"

"Oh. ^Hey, Bonzo." Enzo scowls as his voice glitches again. "The most BASIC upgrade ever, is what."

Bonzo hears the voice glitch, and forces a smile. "Look on the bright side: You weren't commanding 40 kids when this happened, were you?"

This is one of those moments that time has made so much easier to laugh at...
