*Dorian has spent the entire morning trying to make the best of his horrid room, which is not stylish at all. he wonders if this is his punishment for his life of sin.
But the bar is not without it's pleasures.
Poor Monsieur de Chagny. He'll never be quite the same or lie quite so straight in his bed again.
Dorian arranges himself at the bar. He is wearing a long velvet smoking jacket which he found in his room and he has taken quite a fancy to. It has a peacock feather embroidered on the breast pocket.
He orders coffee and looks around at the other inhabitants of the bar through slightly lowered eyelids.*
