*Will steps through the door. After the events of the past few days -- meeting Donna, and dealing with Ako's apparent campaign to embarrass him as much as possible -- his glance around the room is a bit warier than usual. Still, he heads towards the bar, still keeping an eye out for friends.*

Well, the Valkyrie is sitting at a table, idlely sorting through a couple handfuls of small, water-polished lake stones. And she's been watching the room a bit warily as well, so Svava does spot Will, and she waves to him.

*Will waves back, and heads over.*

The little stones had been in piles sorted a bit by color, but it was just something to do while Svava was thinking, so she pushes them all together and out of the way, so Will has room on a portion of a table to sit down to if he wants.

There's also a goblet there, with perhaps two sips taken, of a familiar drink.

*Will looks with mild curiosity at the stones and the goblet of amber liquid, but he smiles and sits.*

Hullo, Svava. How goes it?

"... It all goes. I'm still in one piece, relatively, and in any way you can think of. So that's good, right?"

*Will looks at her with more concern.*

*mildly* Perhaps not optimal, but it's a good start, yes.

She nods slowly, then looks at Will. "You mentioned that some of the stories of where I'm from are told in your world, right?"

"Hm. Loki's here. And I'm not meaning the bartender."

She toys with the goblet, and takes a careful sip, closing her eyes.

*Meg heads over to Will, and says, rather bluntly:* Moiraine's told you, hasn't she?

You know I'm not going to give up.

*he nods, unsurprised*

I just thought you should know, *Meg concludes, rather lamely.*

*after a moment, gently* I am sorry, Meg. For your sake.

*It is clear for whose sake she means.*

*quietly* I don't know this Alex, at all. To know if I should be sorry for her or not.

But I do not wish harm to her, Meg. Truly.

*A shadow on the wall nearby wails:*

Alas! What do I do? Someone saw my woollen underwear!

*Will's head jerks around at the sudden wail, and then he stares.*

*And does not facepalm, because he's Will, but the thought is there.*

*B-ko, counterproductively, rends her garments and wails some more.*

*Then she bounces to her feet.* But why is that embarrassing? It's just woollen underwear.

*A tiny shadow Devil on her shoulder mutters:* Three pairs.

*The shadow doesn't appear to be talking to him, at least. Or to anyone, really.*

*Will debates edging away.*

*As if she senses his intentions, B-ko whips around and points at Will. Perspective and the fact that she's a shadow make it a little hard to tell, but not impossible.*

*An eyebrow goes up, and he regards the shadow levelly.*

*The shadow regards him levelly. This involves floating up an inch or so. The finger stays pointing.*

Some things can't be cast out forever.

Like stray cats! They bite, you know. *She opens her mouth to display shadow fangs.*
