*Bernard and Tonks enter the bar, looking well-rested, for once. Bernard grabs a cup of coffee from the bar and sits on a stool, obviously engrossed in a new bomb design that occurred to him while sleeping.*

Don't let me interrupt. It looks like you're on a roll, there.

*He pauses to kiss her.*
What time do you need to be at work?
no subject

As he works, the very tip of his tongue sticks out of the corner of his mouth.
He doesn't notice.*

She bites back a laugh and takes a sip of her tea before propping her chin up on his shoulder, slipping her arm around his waist; she speaks quietly*

no subject

*He blinks, and takes in Raph's attire.*

He slides onto the stool next to Bernard, eating a Baby Ruth bar, semi-awake. He sort of nods a greeting to the surly bartender. Who's not on duty and may or may not be better disposed to him. Who can tell.

"What're you workin' on, man?" It's a casual, non-probing question, implying that Bernard has just as much right to stay in his own little world as Hyde does. With his Baby Ruth bar.
no subject
Bombs.

He leans a little closer into Bernard, though not enough to compromise his personal space. Enough to have his now hushed, conspiratorial tone heard, though. "What're you gonna blow up, man?"
no subject
Whatever I feel like, kid.
no subject
"All right, man. You design these babies? You should blow up the Pentagon."
no subject
*He half-smiles.*
I'd like to blast the Washington Monument, actually.
