Abigail is sitting at the bar and can't help by smile at the bunny slippers as she sees the guy walk in. "Cute." She quips.

*he pauses, and shoots her a confused look.*

"The slippers. They're cute."

Abigail notes with a shrug, grabbing her water and taking a sip. Not many guys would be able to be confident enough to pull off that sort of look. It was interesting.

*He looks down at his own feet. Oh. He's had these things so long that he kind of forgets that they're bunnies.*

Joke gift. If I don't wear'em, Casey wins. Can't have that. 'Sides, they're warm.

*his burgandy smoking jacket has Raphael embroidered on the left side pocket*

"So..." She regards the name. "Raphael. Nice Hugh Hefner look you got going there."

Of course if he's not from the same place as she is he may not get the reference. One downfall of Mililways was the difference in pop culture references. Made some things difficult.

Hefner?...Oh...*he blushes slightly* The Playboy guy, right.
Jacket's another joke gift. Seems to be the only kind I get.

"See I think when someone gives you a gag gift it should be a bonus that comes with the real gift."

Not that Abigail has ever had a happy family christmas or anything. "It's a good look for you." She gives in to a slight chuckle. "Not a lot of guys could pull that off."

*He smirks*
You know that last part'd be a little more convincing without the laughing.

Meh, gag gifts are the gift that keep on givin'.

*Spoken like someone who knows what it's like to give them as well as get them.*

"Maybe so. Most of my friends are a little too worried that I'll hurt them to play jokes. Makes life a tad boring."

Of course Hannibal was a funny guy.

"And I did mean it. It just amuses me that I'm talking to a guy that's wearing bunny slippers and a smoking jacket. Not something I saw back home."

But there's gotta be a bit of danger, or the joke ain't funny. Sometimes losin' face hurt more'n anythin'. 'Course, danger levels vary.

*he poses for better viewing*

Where's back home?

She smiles again. "Danger is definitely a rush." She's left the arrows upstairs but she does have a gun holster on her thigh.

"Earth, around 2004. Place crawling with Vampires and their familiars. Pretty shitty to tell the truth but it's home."

Heh, sounds like where I'm from...only it's New York, 1996, and the place is crawling with Ninja.

"Do the people in your world walk around with no clue that they're surrounded by evil? Because that's what ours do. It amazes me how blind people can be."

Abigail shakes her head.

"But hey, we do our good deeds, slaughter vampires, and go grab pizza. All is well really."

It ain't there fault really. I mean, people aren't really supposed to see ninja. It's kinda the whole point.

*he nods*
Yeah, sounds 'bout right. There ain't no justice like vigilante justice.

"Yeah the vampires go around at night but...they kill people or turn them...and no one notices the overly high body count. It's sad really. But hey, there's a good deal of us who do know. The big problems come with the familiars. They work for the Vampires but are human. Most policemen are familiars. But killing people..."

She lets that trail off. No need to say anything else about that really. Too deep and she feels like being laid back at the moment.

"So, Raphael, you one of the bound ones?"

*He rolls his eyes*
For the time bein', yeah.

You got a name?

"Abigail Whistler. Usually go by the last name but I can tolerate being called Abigail. No nicknames, please. It makes me angry. And I'm stuck too, for now. I mean I guess there could be worse places to be stuck."

Things can always be worse, don't lessen their suckitude though.

*he extends a hand*
Call me Raph. Full version makes me feel like I'm in trouble an' been caught.

She reaches out, taking his hand and shaking it firmly. "Nice to meet you Raph." She has the slight urge to call him Raphie but she resists. It's enough to make her smile though.

How long you been stuck here?

"Only a couple of days so far. Hoping it won't be too much longer but for now it's a nice break I guess. I just wish there was a gym. But Tim said there wasn't. Oh well. I went for a run this morning so that was helpful for the most part."

Gym? Whattaya need?

"Nothing big. I mean I'm used to machines specifically targeted to certain areas but even something simple would help out. Weights and what not. And a punching bag. That'd rock."

*He thinks*

We're a little Rocky III here, but I got some stuff. Might have to ditch the gun though.

"I'm not going to use it. And I've disarmed a lot since yesterday. I left my most deadly weapon upstairs."

She still has her UV arc and the gun though. It was her bow and arrows that were the most dangerous.
