Schroeder walks into the bar looking a little pale and dazed. He looks around for anyone who might be working, but he doesn't know too many people yet and everyone looks like they know what they're doing so he just sits down at a table and rests his head in his hands.

On his way psat (probably to harass Warren), he catches sight of the guy with his head in his hands.
He sidles up to his table and tilts his head, speaking through a mouthful of Baby Ruth. "You alright, man?"

"Feel yer pain, man. What's the cause - insomnia, booze or something stronger?"

Then he nods in Schroeder's direction. "Hyde." He decides to pull out a chair and settle in next to the guy. "A guy named Schroeder who plays music? Sounds like the Peanuts character." He laughs a little.

He digs a cigarette out of his jeans, along with his pinup girl lighter, and the zippo makes a huge-ass flame as he lights up. He also offers the pack (Marlboro reds) to Schroeder, though Schroeder looks as likely to smoke as some of the cute animal characters who wander into the bar.

"Know how you feel, bud. What's the cause of your little angst-fest? I can assure you it's not as strange as mine."

"Um. I have a headache?"

He seems a little disappointed at this revelation, but composes himself again, and digs through his pocket.
"Aspirin?"

"Really odd guy who seemed to have stigmata ended up in the city morgue a while back, and some of the ME's thought he was actually St. Francis. I guess he could've been, but now it's all over the papers, since he came back from the dead and wandered the streets of Boston."

"St. Francis. Make me a channel of your peace. Banal."
And then he pauses, and thinks.
"Um, that really wasn't the point of the story, was it?"
