Zombies are a dime a dozen on Hallowe'en, right? So of course someone had to wind up in bar looking - well, dead.

Steph just thinks this is in particularly bad taste.

And if anyone thinks looking like she's been dead six years - just because she happens to have been - is going to stop her doing her job, they've got another think coming.


Thus, the part of Security for the Hallowe'en graveyard shift will be played by a sixteen-year-old corpse - who looks really bloody grumpy about it. Couldn't she at least have been a sexy nurse or something, you know, traditional? Geez.

Starting fights will probably not be in your best interest.

This is the last entry before Significant Changes happen to Steph, and as such is open forever. Cheers.

Steph gets a sharp doubletake from the girl with fluttery fairy wings some distance away. (River also has a dress in artistically ragged layers of blue, equally artistic ribbon lacing across most of the bodice, and a slightly precarious crown of flowers on her head.)

"Oh, shush, I know," Steph grumbles, trying to hide her face behind her hood. "It's gross. Wanna swap for flowers?"

If she could figure out how, anyway.

River might be just checking.

Alternately, it might be information about her flowers. It's a little hard to tell for sure.

"It's mean," Steph says, stretching her hands out in front of her and looking at her decaying fingers in disgust. "And it's gross. And I'm going to sulk until it goes away.

"... yours is pretty, though."

River's brows draw together slightly in thought.

Then, with great care, she reaches up to remove her circlet of flowers, and offers it over.

They probably won't much help the zombie look. But for what they're worth!

Sexy nurse, sexy pilot...

Not that...said pilot looks particularly happy with it. Fishnets. Heels. Principle of being taken seriously as a woman in a uniform. Having her ass stared at by teenage boys who think that just because their hormones are zinging about, they don't have to try and be subtle. A distinct lack of boyfriend (so far) to distract her.

Still! At least she's not rotting.

"...Bar really has a messed up sense of humour." Call it a hunch based off Steph's expression.

"No kidding," Steph agrees ruefully. She's sitting at a table. She tried to put her feet up on it, but bits threatened to fall off, so she's sitting like a normal person. It's very stressful!

"I'm guessing you don't fly planes dressed like that every day, then?"

"I don't fly planes at all." Honestly, the idea of it-

There is a beat.

"...my bird is a chopper. But I sure as hell don't fly her wearin' heels." Among, you know, the other things that are seriously wrong with this 'uniform'.

"Oh, you actually are a pilot?" Steph perks up. "Cool. I was never allowed to fly the Batplane. With heels or without."

Trudy grins a bit. "Yeah, I'm a pilot. And I don't recommend tryin' to fly in heels anyway - pedals be harder to work. Chief Warrant Officer Trudy Chacon, of the RDA Marines.

"Hey. Cool costume." Cy likes zombie films. And would even costume as a zombie if only it didn't look so silly to be a robot and a zombie at once.

"I think it's a bit mean of Bar," Steph says, leaning back in her chair and glancing up - and then doing a slightly ridiculous double-take.

"-- Cyborg?"

"Um, yeah?" She's got that look of recognition. He thinks. Hard to tell since she's undead. "And you're...?" That does seem to be a rotting costume on top of her rotting flesh.

Steph is grinning, somehow managing to look cheerful even in spite of the zombification. "I used to be Robin, once. I don't think I ever met you, like, properly, but you're a Titan."

Everyone knows the Titans.

Blink. Blink. "Used to be Robin. You're Jason Todd?" It's unclear what anyone knows about Jason, but his name has occasionally come up, as an urban legend mainly.

A black canary lands on Stephanie's shoulder.

UGH A BIR-- wait.

Steph looks at it, sympathetically. "You too, huh? Oh, she thinks she's so funny."

Dinah spreads her wings. She can't shrug because - no shoulders, but she does jerk the knuckles on her hands - the midpoint of her wings in a mime of that action.

And picks at Steph's hair fussily.

Steph laughs, and tilts her head towards her obligingly. "Yeah, yeah, zombies don't brush their hair. Probably bits would fall out. Don't pull it too hard."

Dinah is very very careful not to pull it too hard, but she's only up there for another few seconds before flying to the end of Steph's arm to sit on her hand.

C'mon Steph, give her a perch.

There is a Guppy, trying to see who she is, and a baby girl, staring wide-eyed at her.

Guppy has been excused from costuming, but the baby is dressed as a bee.

Steph is trying to ignore the looks she's getting, but it's hard. She looks very weary when she glances up. "It's a costume. I think it's meant to be fun-- Guppy!"

"Hi Steph!" Guppy says, glad he didn't bring Alex today.

Coral doesn't seem terribly fazed by the costumes in general. She can only see clearly about a foot in front of her face anyway, the rest is a bit fuzzy.

Guppy comes over with the baby and smiles.

"Bar gave you a tough one today, huh?"

"I think she thinks it's funny," Steph says, a bit grumpily. "I've been sulky lately. I guess she's reminding me it could be worse. Guppy ... did you have another baby?"

Chances are good, but then he could just be babysitting!
