Leia hasn't slept much. Instead, she's spent most of the night thinking about what Andrew said to her.

I can't really blame you if you hate him-- but Luke was right about him.

It doesn't excuse anything... he deserves a chance.

He'd been right about that. He'd known a lot, actually, Andrew had. With sudden determination, Leia goes to the door, and once again she walks into Milliways.

He's been sitting, waiting for her. He didn't know if she would come tonight, but he would have waited until she did. He needs to talk to her, really talk, before the Speaking.

"Leia." He stands. "Can we talk?"

She faces him and just looks at him for a long moment.

"I'm not sure what to say to you, actually."

For a very brief moment, a snarky reply flits across his mind, before being replaced with more appropriate thoughts. "I know you wanted to talk to me somewhere where there was no one else. We should probably do that now."

He is trying to be calm and neutral. She's probably still hurting, and she will be more hurt soon. He doesn't want to add to it.

"Fine. Where?"

For once, her tone is not as sharp as it has usually been when speaking to him.

"I have a room, if you want to go there. Otherwise, there are rooms upstairs."

He doesn't want her to feel trapped or threatened, so he gives her the choice.

"Yes, but I didn't want you to uncomfortable." He heads toward the House of Arch painting. "If you want to go to my room, you'll need to hold my hand."

Leia stiffens as though she's been stabbed with a knife -- or maybe jabbed with hot needles wielded by an Imperial droid -- and then visibly steels herself.

Wordlessly, she holds out a hand.

He hates to think she loathes his touch so much, but he controls the wince at her actions. Instead, he very lightly takes her hand. He proclaims the key to the spell loudly, and leads her to his room (http://www.livejournal.com/community/house_of_arch/30384.html).
