There is a blur as Carlotta leaps off a rafter, bounces off the wall, catches the ball in mid air, and flips to land on her feet.

███████ goes wide eyed at first, then smiles when she realizes its just Carlotta.

"Why do you insist on impressing me?" she asks, amused.

[fiery_ring]

"Sorry, it's a social flaw." Carlotta says, bouncing the ball back.

She laughs as if Carlotta had told a joke.

"No need to be sorry. How are you?"

[fiery_ring]

"Good thanks, we just moved on to Lincoln." Carlotta says. "It's hard work on moving day, so we all get a light day tomorrow for setting up."

"Oh my, I can only imagine," despite her long years, she has never tried traveling with the circus despite the fact that there is no shiakahan act. They are rare animals in her world, almost extinct, in fact.

Thank goodness.

"Well, the elephant helps put up the big top." Carlotta says. "That helps!"

"I am sure it does, a tame beast that big must be able to pull great weights."

[I am just going to pretend she knows what an elephant is. Canon only mentions them once, and it comes from a leprechaun insulting a human for being heavy *facepalm*]

[fiery_ring]

"Yes, when he's not wielding his paintbrush." Carlotta laughs. "It is possible to put a big top up without an elephant, but it's hard work."

"How often does your circus move about?" she asks.

She starts to bounce the ball again. Thunk goes the floor, bunk goes the door.

"Depends how well it's doing." Carlotta says. "I mean, we have to book the fields in advance, but often there's a few days leeway. If we're getting a poor reception, we might move on sooner - if we're selling out, we hang on a few days.

On average, it's between a week and two, depending on the size of the local population."

"Sounds reasonable. How was that performing with you by the way?" she asks.

"Oh, that was my fiance, Will." Carlotta says, grinning.

███████ gets up from her seat and tries the door. It opens!

She shuts it, hoping it wont disappear on her, then goes upstairs. When she comes back down, she is in the same dress as she was in when she came in many weeks ago a bloody and ragged thing, with her scimitar and sickle at her hips. Before trying the door again, she bounces the ball of the floor and the door.

With that, she smiles slightly and quietly slips out the door.
