[(Sort-of)OOM: "Lore, I have a a surprise for you."]

An android walks into the bar, entering from upstairs. There's a slight smile on his face, and an air about him, like he's ready to take over the world.

Or the bar.

But don't worry, he's not going to… Not yet, anyway.

Right now, he's content to head over to Bar to ask for a glass of champagne. He leans on her wooden surface and surveys the room contentedly.

[OOC: Posting this now for timeline purposes, but will not be back to tag until tomorrow morning (Monday for me; GMT+9).

Not plotlocked or anything, but be careful—he's got a phaser.]

[*picks the Kender's pockets, obtains shiny objects*]

(ooc: *sneaks in* Lore's player is in a Far-Away Timezone and may not be able to answer you for a bit yet.)

There is a goddess at a table not far from the bar, typing away on a small Sony Vaio laptop.

Her mood isn't exactly excellent as sometime earlier, she lost almost half an hour's worth of work in ~ATH programming, no less.

She does notice Lore as being somewhat out of the average, and gives him a Look.

Lore just smirks at her.

"Good evening," Sirona says, a bit warily.

Something tells her the smirk is not a good sign.

Lore's in a good mood, so he returns the greeting,

"Good evening."

"What's so funny?" Sirona asks.

"Oh... nothing really," Lore says, but the twinkle in his eye might indicate otherwise. "Things are just exactly as they should be."

"Oh, isn't it great when everything works just fine?" Sirona says, cheerfully. "When no more bugs are left in the code?"

Jessica sees him from the other end of the Bar and can't help but notice how he looks like the proverbial cat that got the canary. She's never trusted a satisfied cat.

Still she has a report to finish writing so she goes back to hand writing the report. Yes hand writing. Since her PDA went on the fritz, it doesn't want to stay active for more than a few minutes. She'll have to get the thing looked at by S.W.O.R.D. once she gets back.

Lore doesn't bother saying hello, but he does stare at what she's doing. Why in the world is she writing something by hand when she has a perfectly good device sitting there that, from the looks of it, probably has word processing capabilities that would be far more efficient?

Humans don't make any sense, sometimes.

As if on cue the device flashes, sputters and then reboots yet again. Jessica sighs and turns it over so the flashing screen doesn't distract her.

She gives no indication she's giving Lore any thought.

Lore lets out a chuckle.

"Something wrong with that thing?" he asks, smug.

"Yeah," she replies giving him a glance. "It was working fine until XX:XX* when it crashed and rebooted. It's been doing the same thing for hours now. Lost a pretty long report too."

[OOC:*Just after Lore triggered his little surprise for his brother.]

A distinct spark of recognition flashes across Lore's face-- he really needs to monitor his facial expressions more carefully sometimes.

"That's too bad," is his only response, however. It's accompanied by a bit of a smirk.

He turns away from the bar with his drink in hand and notices the ... unusual-looking humanoid with the self-satisfied air.

Nathan Stark gives him a once-over, and raises his eyebrows.

"What are you looking at?" Lore asks. He has an amused twinkle in his eye.

"That's a good question, actually."

Stark looks the other man over a second time, from head to toe.

"Are you a non-human sentient species, or something else?" A beat. "Or do you just prefer extreme amounts of makeup?"

Lore's smile dissapates somewhat, just enough to be noticeable. The only thing worse than a human is a human who thinks he's clever.

"I'm an android, if you must know," he replies.
