[OOM: Jessica gets some new toys.]

"Can I have some crepes Florentine please? And the biggest latte you can manage?" Jessica orders as she pulls up a stool to play with her new toys, a PDA similar to her precious one and a much more compact non-human detector. When the crepes arrive however, there's an addition of a chocolate cake. "What's this?"

"Happy Birthday," a napkin reads.

"But it's not..." she begins to say before catching sight of the calendar. "You're a day late."

"You were not here yesterday."

"I can't eat all this," Jessica retorts. Even super heroes metabolisms have their limits.

"You'll just have to make friends then."

"And where is my latte?" she says surly before a glass mug materializes that would shame a Big Gulp. "Well alrighty then." Someday she'll learn to be careful what she wishes for.

Moist says with a smirk as he sits at a stool beside her with his coffee.

"Alfred!" she exclaims happy to see a familiar face. "A late birthday I guess. It's weird as back home it's months away."

"Thank you. You can make it better by having a slice of this cake," she suggests. "There is no way I can or should finish it myself."

Bar produces another plate and he starts cutting some pieces and takes the chance to glance at her PDA,

"That looks like a useful device."

"It can be. It can also be a bother as it's a leash to one of the people I work for. Do you have computers in your world?"

"No, most of our devices are powered by imps."

"Imps? Like little devils?"

"Yes, they're very stupid but they know how to follow directions and remembers things."

Jessica just shakes head but to each world their own.

"Sounds like computers. Their very good at doing what you tell them too but they only do what you tell them to. This is a small portable one but also works as a phone."

"A phone? I'm not sure I know what that does."

"It's a device that allows you to communicate verbally with someone over a distance. I could get technical in the explanation if you like?"

"Oh yes, I think I've heard of those. Its quite elegant."

"Unless you're in the shower and the phone rings and it's someone trying to sell you something you don't want," she replies. She must admit Albert's world seems interesting if for no other reason than the contrasts to her own.

"Can't you just ignore it. I know imps will sometimes remember things for you. I'd hate to think of being able to be chased by a device,"

Or tracked by one, it seems rather dangerous to Moist.
